    Aluminum-bodied car catches fire after hitting large, immovable object? Nothing magic or surprising about this, especially if the car is allowed to burn for extended periods of time. Aluminum appears to burn thoroughly from intense heat, unlike iron or steel, not that you'd want to somehow salvage a steel-bodied car that has been burned.

    well, the main thing I want to know is if the driver really survived. If he did as the site suggests, then kudos to Ferrari for producing such an incredibly safe car. I don't think other cars in this much of a mess would have live occupants.
