The bit i am having difficulty with is the cost per sq metre of foam. It works out at around $1600 per sqm EACH

Tony. I tried to order them from Italian Car Parts but they said they might never have them in stock. The problem is the original seats had the foam poured into a mold with the frame inserted, so the foam was actually poured onto the seat. I bouth stiff upholstery foam in several thicknesses, and re-stuffed the seats the best I could, but the foam was not stiff enough, and it was hard to stuff the seats without totally disassembling them.

I surrenedered, did the best I could, drove with them for the summer, then ordered replacements complete from MAtt at Re-originals.

You might try, GASP, orlando at LaScuderiaRossa. He may be able to help.

as I think of it my guy used the original foams (maybe he bolstered them up..cant quite recall) and installed all new leather etc...the whole gig....they look terrific ...of course I can't find my receipt but I thought it was approx 800- 1000 bucks ( it sure wasn't 3 or 4 grand--no way). I may redo the interior on another dino that I have & can ask him what it would take to redo those seats...let me know if you are interested & I can go over this weekend & find out

i'd be interested to know what the costs are to redo a set a seat and what i should expect. do you have photos of your interior?

not having seen your interior or remarking about it, i have seen a good number of dino's with botched interiors. they don't look bad, but they don't look good either

You - you took my beautiful car! My husband's "other woman". I am sincerely glad to say that the Dino went to a good home. I should tell you a little about it.

Dave and I were married about 5 years ago. About 2 months before we were married, he said to me that he thought he had found a Dino and would I mind if he bought it. Knowing that he had wanted one since they came out, I said yes. Plus, what was I going to say, really? No? Come on, I loved him and he loved that car. So, we get the Dino a few weeks before we got married. Now, we had a small wedding, here he was buying that Dino and giving me a hard time about a $1000 florist bill. I was a little irked about that. We worked it out. The floral bill went to $1600 and he never said another word.

That car started out a project. Seriously, it became a child to us. He took such care with it and I loved it - still do - think it's the most beautiful Dino I have ever seen, I hope I'm not offending anybody - but we loved it. It became our kid. We couldn't have anymore humans, so we had a car.

When he said that there was this nice guy down in SC who would love it, I cried. It took me a long time to get used to the idea that it wouldn't be here anymore and finally, I said, "Okay." Well, I love our new car and I am so happy that you have our baby - she's a good girl. Be good to her and she'll be good to you! I know that you will be a good daddy and I wish you all the best!
