I've often wondered; Why is the expression; "drive it like you stole it" - bandied about so often on this site? Personally, If I stole a car, I would drive in such a manner so as to not warrant any suspicion. A clean, uneventful getaway to the chop-shop, if you will. __ So, while keeping the Spirit of the Leadfoot Tribe alive and well, methinks we need a better back-slapping and encouraging descriptive send-off to purchasers of Italian wheeled beasts, which, should a most unfortunate encounter with the long arm of the law occur, would receive a nod of understanding, if not mock horror from the Officer. Other suggestions are certainly welcome: herewith is mine; Drive it like you've got explosive diarrhea!
A lot of stolen cars are stolen for a quick blast and then abandonned. At least it is the case in France . Steal the car on friday and abandon it on sunday .
"Drive it like you still have payments on it" "Drive it as if your friend wont find out" "Drive it like you would if you owed it" "Fast and Furious...I, II, AND III"
