Has anyone removed the rear deck panel from a 355? The center leather covered section. No obvious screws or fasteners that I can see. I am assuming it probably snaps in and out?

Would rather ask before I pull and break!

    Thanks!

Steve, on the 348, there are 2 long studs that are attached by nuts on the engine side of the firewall.
Not positive of this on the 355, but I would start by looking for 2 nuts coming thru right above the hard radiator lines that run across the firewall.
I think its these.... and this is the extent of my knowledge.

Turns out there are 3 bolts (10mm nuts) running through the firewall into the engine bay as noted. Easy removal. Now if I can figure out how to get the two side panels where the safety belts are mounted. Two screws are visible after removing the center deck panel. The cover over the belt retractor has a friction mount and spring tab, pretty easy to remove. The panel still has an attachment that I can't quite figure out close to the door opening. I can get a finger under the part and carpet and feel a mount but can't tell if it is a bolt or screw head.
    Any ideas?

Does anyone know how to remove these two side panels. I have the center one out and have removed two screws on the side panel but it still does not want to come out.

on my 348, they were held in by one rivet (i had to drill out) under the rubber door gasket. Peel back ever so slightly. I will rivet back or simply put a small black screw or small black nut and bolt. Who knows?
