well i am reading another thread about new f149 hard top convertible with more than 500hp and less or same price with f430 now that means f430 spyders will lose so much value guys. what is the logic of buying 430 spyder is there will be a car like this exists
First...and there is so much to say about this post! The selling price will not be anywhere near the 430 spider price... Second there is 3 segments of the 360/430/new model market, that there will always be a demand for the models across the board. Now if this a thread soly on the new model great..but to tell everyone there Ferrari is going to lose value is not the case...it's like certain dealers thinking of Ferrari's like BMW....The new model only matters to the list buyers! And plays no role in past cars value! Look at like this...People do not for the most part by Ferrari based on price, they buy the Ferrari they have always dreamed of, they want the color and options that have lived in there minds for years...The Dino buyers, the TR guys, even the 308/328's they all are driven by passion...With Lexus, BMW and the like are just cars...yes they have there enthuiast but overall they are just bought and sold... We have not seen huge price decreases like many predicted when the 430's came out, we have seen a winter time decrease, but not a loss like many thought we would..( I know your car broker wants to think that the prices have fallen through floor..lol..but has he found your car yet..???)
I never knew that the 599 wheels could look so amazing! That is a car if it came out in the "lower end of the line up" I would own - however that looks more like a concept that you would more likely see replace the Enzo. Nice little light twin turbo V8 super car with shifting/ traction control etc faster/ better then the Scuderia and systems that would get you around the track faster then any car before. Andrew
Something like that, would be a great rack car. However, as the chief driving instructor and track events coordinator for an FCA region I can tell you that most of my guys would never go near a race track (unfortunately). Every time I get something set up, I spend more time trying to sell the virtues of doing a track day. But alas, it is usually to no avail. The cars are doomed to nothing more than a Starbuck's run and polishing sessions.
A wild thought maybe people bought their Spiders to own, love and drive them and depreciation is all relative anyway.
not selling my spider. too much fun to drive. could care less about how much value it lost. it's gettin warmer out, can't wait to put the top down!
No, no, he's CORRECT!!!!!! Sell now!!!!!! The hardest hit will be giallo modena with black sport seats (yellow stitching) carbon fiber driver/engine zone F1 and CCB's prices are plummeting as we speak!!!!!! They are at about $125.000 as of 5:00pm est today!!!!!!! You are loosing thousands as I write this!!!!!!! I'm just here to help. I'm willing to buy at the 5:00pm prices if you act fast!!!!!!!!! P.S. The same thing is happening to the CS!!!!!!! Bail while you still can!!!!!!!!
Haha thats funny I dont think there will be a dramatic depreciation of the 430 at least no time soon my friend
Since the 5:00 pm prices have expired I will buy at current market value $98,500. This offer is good until 5:00 pm EST tomorrow.
i swear if there is another "sell ur car now cuz u might lose money" thread im going to seriosly lose it....no one who can afford the car cares!!!!!
There is always going to be something new. If you are worried about losing money, don't buy the car. Everytime I have bought a Ferrari, the stock market tanked and the car held its value better than the money in the market. Unfortunately, the last 430 I purchased timed the market in the same way. So I really don't worry about whatever relatively small amount would be lost if the car is sold. The car is worth it!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Don't listen to this cheapskate, he is lowballing. I will buy for an even $100k. AND, I'll extend my offer to 6pm.
Also is it not normal for a given car even if it sits and no miles are put on it majority of cars lose value as it gets older some people just do not look at the big picture on life and i agree with Ricky if you can afford the car you dont care about losing the money i feel the same way...
I sure as hell hope they don't go with a hard top. That will just add a lot of weight, unless they go with a CF design. Either way...more complex, more weight, and for WHAT? For those F430 owners starving for a hard top that they can use in all weather conditions? Because we all know people driver their new Ferraris through hail, rain, snow, etc.
John, Please let me know before you buy your next Ferrari. I have an idea.................................................
