Been giving the enviromental issue some thought, and thinking do I really need a big Audi diesel to run to work and back in??? I thought I would buy something smaller, cheeky, but still fun with a couple of small seats in the back for the odd occasion I have to ferry the kids about..

Well, it IS smaller isnt it??? :D:D:D

    Dear Comrade Hazy,

It looks very nice indeed. Hiowever, I am not at all familiar with Porsche, so which model is this, please?

    With kind regards,

    Good morning Comrade,

It is the venerable 911, in the most popular version, that of the 996 model number. You will notice similarities with Adolfs Beetle from the 1930's :D:D:D

Adolf used a similar convertible to stand in the back as he drove around the streets of Berlin to wave to the blond haired blue eyed cults members who worshipped him ;)

    Dear Comrade Hazy,

I realised that it was 911 and not a Poxster, but which model is it? For example, I understand that some Porsche's are four wheel drive. And there is a huge variety - so which is yours? And furthermore, is it true that Comrade Robert Hudson also has a Porsche? If so, which model does he hold within his tutelage?

    With kind regards,

    512 Tea Are

1999 mate...cue the 1999 model year horror stories.......

As you are a true Porsche enthusiast after all..... it its a 1999 Porsche 996 C2 Cabriolet, the car Rob has in his collection is a 993 C4 Varioram Cabriolet.

I trust this information will be to your full requirements :D:D:D

    Dear Comrade Hazy,

Blimey, you boys are certainly going for it with the motor cars - and why not. Does the C4 nomenclature on Rob's motor car denote four wheel drive, then?

    With kind regards,

    512 Tea Are

Got an OPC warranty in with the purchase price mate

Yes, we are indeed, as you say, going for it and yes, Robs is a 4 wheel drive.

For many Porsche enthusiasts, the 993 is deemed the best motor car they ever made, indeed a 993GT2 recently changed hands for £180,000 or so I am told by my new Porsche friends over on Pistonheads.

I personally prefer the everyday usability that the 996 brings, and, hopefully reliabilty, fingers crossed.
