Wilson, I am in!!! I plan on showing up at noon for the dogs and bike tour and then taking the Ferrari out for a few pace laps... Anyone want to hook up before hand. maybe grab a cup of joe, and then head to the track as a group?
I'm going to try to make it out Saturday, but I will be driving in the benefit HPDE event Sunday. Anyone else driving on Sunday?
If not already registered the cost is $180. According to the website, the event is sold out (good for FOPIR)--there is an option for "walk up" registration on the day of the event, but I'm guessing that it would be dicey to get a spot. More info at either oregonpca.org website (select "drivers ed") or the friendsofpir.com website.
Hey that sounds like fun! What time for the Joe? Walking the track sounds like fun too! I'd rather be there earlier than later though. Cheers!
I'll be there Saturday with Pro Drive leading/driving pace laps. For those of you who have never done a track walk, I highly recommend it, especially with the new configuration. Also, good opportunity to get a few laps in at slower speeds while learning the new line. Should be fun!
Hmmm you might be on your own for an early show.. I am going to sleep in Saturday morning and plan on showing up about 11:30... Maybe we should just meet at the track, this is going to be like herding cats...
Good point, I wasn't sure if it was 11 or 11:30. Afterwards would work also. Im still down to meet at jb sbux before if anyone else is? Matt PS. Anyone have an empty seat? Otherwise I will be seeing you all in the rearview of my little A4 hahaha :::insert sarcastic tone:::
Ah geez Sonny, don't be such a sleepy head. You know you want to walk the track and get the inside scoop from the pro's! Whats sleeping in anyway? 7:30ish? Cheers!
Kurt I'll go early if you are. I've never walked the track so would like to do that. Yes Sonny that means I'm getting up early, well will try at least!
Tonight is going to be a long night fellas... Sleeping in means until 9-9:30ish... I'll be there after we have breakfast and hang out a little...
I'm going to try and be there around 11. My schedule is pretty open, so I'm up for anything. Whats the weather supposed to be like?
I heard last night that the Sunday track day is sold out with about 10 in on a reserve list for each class. I doubt anybody would get in just walking up Sunday morning. I will be there tomorrow, just don't know what time.
My understanding is that these are no helmet (therefore slow) laps and passengers I would imagine are allowed. Maybe Tony can weigh in on this, since he is involved in that part of the festivities.
