How many "Prancing Horses" on your F-car? I recently started counting the number of "Prancing Horses" on my ferrari, as a result of a posting I read about a comment a user had about a Porsche that had "PORSCHE" on the car in numerous places. Then I started counting..... I have noticed, without looking to hard, (and I know I will find more) as many as 18 "Prancing Horses" on the car. So, my question is this. How many "Prancing Horses" does your F-car have, and who has the most. (Stock, as well as aftermarket) STOCK: 1.) rear body emblem 2.) emblem in front grill (euro 308) 3.) front emblem 4-7.) wheel center caps 8.) identification plate(engine compartment) 9.) hood release lever 10.) rear deck release lever 11-12.) speedo and tack 13.) ash tray lid 14.) horn button 15-16.) side mirrors (euro 308) OPTIONAL/AFTERMARKET: 17-18.) side fender badges FERRARI sure loves the horse!
Plus the two on the head rests, one on each side. And four for the canvas targa top cover release buttons and four for the 85 308 model fuse block cover release buttons So that's 10 more
Mike how did you get 4 on the fuse cover I have a 85 qv and I have 2 release buttons, however I counted 25 on top of my head there may be more if I go out there and uncover the car cover oh there's another one on the cover thats 26! so this is where mine are............4-wheels,4-valvestem caps,1-hood,1-rear emblem,4-buttons targa cover,2-headrest,1-ashtray,2-floormats,2-fusebox cover buttons,2-on gauges,1-on horn,2-on release leavers(hood&rear deck),1-engine compartment, and if your keys in the steering colum right now you can count that.........I think thats 28 adding the car cover and I have badges on the fenders thats 2 more........lol.lol...........I just thought about 3 more the top dash vents............
Oops sorry Michael, I meant two for the fuse cover. I also have the 4 Vavlestem caps but didn't count it cause it's not original.
so mike the valvestems are not original,I can't count those? what about if your manuals and warrenty books are in the car there's 2 more
How about this one. I just six months ago I bought a 599. Guess how many places inside the cockpit area the word Ferrari is written? Inside door sills (2) Above radio (1) 60 yr. plate with VIN. (1) just above the headlight controls The vid screen that says 599 GTB Ferrari when starting the car. (1) Have I forgotten any? Back in 86 I bought a TR. Had it a couple of years before I sold it. Maybe someone can help me out . For the life of me I can.t remember if there was anywhere inside that TR the word Ferrari was written. Maybe the factory is afraid that we can't remember what we are driving.
I love how Ferrari Embossed F430 on the mirrors of the car... Its beginning to look like a damned Louis Vuitton hand-bag. Its bad when Ferrari have little prancing horses on the vents, but I want to see if they will put them on each fuse by the end of the dacade. -J
Don't forget the one on the Speedo gauge and the Tach gauge And the Catalyst label in the engine compartment Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login
I dont want to reveal the true number (on an F430) but I have done this same thing.... thought i was the only sicko weirdo retard... apparently not. YOU GUYS ARE WAY OFF! If you want to count interior and exterior.... the number is astronomical! Don't forget the prancing horse on each window by the way. There are some really cool ones on the F430 interior by the way, some in plain view and others not so much but also many in plain view that you dont even notice until you LOOK real hard. Any guesses to how many inside and out on a F430... not counting undercarriage? Exterior, interior, windows, front bonnet, engine compartment as seen from above and sides...... The number is......... ?????? LOL @ 18 It might even be triple digits...... nah, can't be , can it?
I couldn't believe how many I counted on the F430 Scuderia I viewed at Ferrari of SF.........over 26 or something silly! Badges....we don't need no stinking badges!
I counted those too! but I found another one the drivers door jam,its on the vin # and manuf. date label
You can't just leave us hanging!! I am going to go with 96 (random guess you said it was a big number though.)
Ok, Here's the scoop on an F430 Fist we have to separate the two symbols.... we have Cavallinos and we have the Word Ferrari (and in the case of an F430, there are 2 of those). There is an equal number of each (well, if you add the 2 430's to the word Ferrari category). On the Exterior: There are 14 Cavallinos (if you have stock wheels and Scuderia Shields) this includes the 6 exterior windows ....... make it 15 if you count the one on the gas cap of which you technically can't see from outside There are 12 Ferraris (includes the calipers) so that totals 27 On the Engine: There are 5 Ferraris and only 1 Cavallino Within the engine compartment, there are 2 more Ferraris if you count stickers and plaques so that totals 8 On the Interior: There are 18 Cavallinos and 9 Ferraris (includes the interior window #7) One may argue that when the car is started and the stereo comes on, it says Ferrari on the LED display so that's 1 more. total of 27. 28 if you count the LED display. 30, If you count the key which has both Cavallino and Ferrari. Under the front bonnet: There is 1 Cavallino and 4 Ferraris (includes the tire pump, tool kit and car cover bag) So that's 5 grand total: 36 Cavallinos and 35 Ferraris Plus 2 F430's (dash plate and drivers mirror embossed) 71!!!!!! ***Interesting places you may have missed*** On the rubber heel pads on the floor mats.. 1 cavallino on each on the rubber dead pedal.. 1 cavallino the key.. 1 of each on the flags on ashtray.. 1 cavallino the A/C vents.. each with a cavallino Gas cap.. cavallino Muffler... Ferrari on the VIN plate on steering column... 1 Ferrari on the tach... 1 cavallino The Ferrari flashlight in glovebox The Cavallino on the leather manuals case placed in glove box door The Matricola plate.. ................................... AND THE MOTHER OF ALL MISSED CAVALLINOS (which I just found tonight)............ On the back (facing the windshield) of the interior rear view mirror is a BIG FAT RAISED Cavallino!
My Ferrari has TWO horses and THREE Ferrari words (2 under the bonnet)! Those were the days...... Somehow owning a Ferrari was sufficient. Cheers, Julio
