Lotus is now listed on Ebay: Any of you guys know of anyone looking, she is mint and SERIOUSLY fast! Thought I'd share this with the "Fratelli" as the Esprit is often compared to the 355. It's great for someone that doesn't quite want to spend Ferrari money Pass the word along..... http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/MINT-LOTUS-ESPRIT-V8-25th-anniversary_W0QQitemZ160211252528QQihZ006QQcategoryZ116482QQssPageNameZWDVWQQrdZ1QQcmdZViewItem
Looks nice---Good luck with the sale----Hope the Gfriend doesn't see the ad--She has wanted a Esprit since she was little....
Beautiful car I was close to going for a Esprit when I found out I could not bring the 355 across then I came to my senses.. and bought a 348 spider Oh boy here it comes
Surprised your selling the Esprit, I would not part with mine. A carbon copy of yours with a few less mods. Must admit I drive the 355 a bit more often! Looks great though, best of luck with the sale......
That looks absolutely Fab!! I have had 3 Esprits and miss them all. Great cars. Hope you find a worthy buyer
Yes, It's killing me to do this but unfortunately the wifes SUV is outside and I'm catching slack...After the new motor in the 355B I'll never get the dough back in this economy and she has laid claim to the Spider (paddle shifters) so thats out for now....... Quite honestly, if it doesn't sell I don't care...I love it as well..... Also I can tell the wife "I tried"
you're trying harder than me, I had told the wife I'd sell my '69 Firebird conv. when I got the 355...I just keep coming up with excuses to keep it! Surely I can't sell a conv. in the 'off' season...then in the summer the kids love to sit in it...then back into an 'off' season...oh well!
Beautiful Espirit Jetfixr, it looks incredible. Not trying to hijack, but Roberto, were many mods required ? Could you send me a pm ? Thanks in advance.
I would not part w/ my 03 Esprit either.. very rare cars and VERY powerful w/ the few minor mods needed. I put so much work to make my car utterly perfect I would never sell it.. Especially at the ****-low prices that people value these cars at.. I think everyone selling the esprits need to raise the buy price at least 10k across the board.. it's a crime how cheap some of them sell for... the wrong buyers are getting these cars...
Don't do it dude.. if you miss it you literally won't be able to find another one.. these cars (in good condition) are getting desperately rare.. laughing at the dude that asked you if youwould sell it for 41k.. where do they find these people?
Tell me about it, I couldn't believe the insult.....I've been posting all their stupid questions just to show the rest of the world what is out there..... You guys are making me think twice about selling........This is really tough...... We'll see, if it doesn't go then maybe I can "hide" it somewhere and let her (wife) back in the garage..... Bottom line, I love the Ferraris but the LOTUS is SO MUCH faster and much more reliable......That's alot to give up....... HMMMMMMMM.....
UConn, If you ever HAVE to sell it... please let me know...my first car was a 1969 Firbird, and would love to have another someday... Jetfixr, I agree with everyone's comments ... it's beautiful car, in obviously beautiful condition... it would be great if you could find a way to keep it.. I have always loved the Esprit... Mike in Kuwait
my 03 dynoed at 450hp/430tq and it weighs about 2800lbs.. that is about as fast as a f430... its monstrous.. not sure about reliability... I definitely put time and money yearly into the esprit, I'd say it's close to ferrari 360 reliability or 355.. perhaps somewhere inbetween
Trust me its ALOT more reliable than the 355....... I can show receipts for three F355's, so it isn't just one bad one.....Of course that's assuming one puts the required money into one when needed...... The Esprit I love. Passing 360's like they are chained to a pole and scaring 430's is hard to beat for such a small investment, other than a Noble---WOW that would scare an Enzo! It isn't all about speed and I just cannot break away from Ferrari, I'm faithful to them even though it's a love/hate thing.....
That had me laughing my a** off....... Momma helps with payroll and stuff so trust me she'd see it My web site is under some renovation but here is a link www.robertsaviation.net I'm actually pressed for space at the hangar too. We are having another catered dinner/drive this year for the *Fratelli* and FCA. Hopefully some of you can make it this summer! Best of all it's free! We empty the hangar and park them all inside and eat...It's fun.....
That's the spirit. This is a horrible time to sell a car like that. It is a great looking example. Unless you simply cannot handle keeping it, stick to your price and maybe it will never go anywhere! (Heading out to fire up the Exige S...) Best -J.
Ian - Let me know the date, and I'd love to come to Hamilton and see the place! I'll leave David in SoCal with the kids and baby.
Hope it sells- I mean I hope it doesn't...I mean...anyway, let's just say that I hope it turns out just like you want it to!
Man this is HORRIBLE!!!!! This is the most annoying thing in the world. I set a really LOW price considering what was spent/condition and all I get is nonsense questions and emails...... Mamovaka-I'm within a millisecond of pulling the plug and NOT selling it........I think you are right! Many of these guys that are sending emails need an automatic Corvette with a warranty....... I have a couple REAL guys that are offering dough to end the auction early....... Here is a couple pics from last years get together with horrible weather.......
