I like when rock songs are used in movies and the two become interconnected such that both are better from it.
Kind of like when 1 + 1 = 3.

For example, Rolling Stone's Paint It Black becoming identified with Tour of Duty, Full Metal Jacket, and Apocalypse Now.

I see a red door and I want it painted black
No colors anymore I want them to turn black
I see the girls walk by dressed in their summer clothes
I have to turn my head until my darkness goes
I see a line of cars and they're all painted black
With flowers and my love both never to come back
I see people turn their heads and quickly look away

Maybe then Ill fade away and not have to face the facts

Very nice. Struggling artist? Did they turn his heat off?

 

Saw this guy last night in a small bar. Ice storm kept the crowd down. About 40 people. He saw it as an intimate opportunity.

Yes and no. He's got a tiny bachelor pad on the Promenade in Santa Monica since he likes to go out on the weekends and perform. Not struggling, just personal preference.

 

I once wrote a Haiku dedicated to strippers. I was drunk and I only remember the second line; "She shakes her moneymaker". I wish I could remember the rest of it. Maybe another glass of Port will help.
