I just went to see a 1984 Mondial Cab, 51K miles, not driven much. The car in general looks ok. I am not thrilled about it but I am considering it as it was always garaged, not driven in the rain. The interior is not so great shape.

    Two questions:

    1) When cold, the car runs like crap. It doesn't idle well. Also, it sounds like an exhaust leak. When warmed up, it sounds great. This is the second Ferrari I have heard this. What is it? A vacum leak? Bad exhaust gasket? Vehicle not driven (garage queen)? Old gas?

    2) The clutch pedal went all the way to the floor. The car was in a garage so I couldn't trouble shoot if it was the master or the slave clutch cylinders. How much do these cost? Are they difficult to replace? I did a search on ferrarichat and found postings about fixing them instead of new ones. I would prefer puting new ones in. Are they difficult to replace?

    Thanks in advance,

For the bad cold idle, it sounds like you have a bad Auxilary Air Bypass, cold start valve, or the warm up regulator.

About the clutch pedal, I'm not sure what it could be. are the fluid level ok, any sign of leak, or maybe by bleeding the system

    might fix the problem.
