Hey Everyone, I've been a Porsche driver for about 12 years now and have finally made the jump to Ferrari. Just purchased a 1992 Ferrari 348 GTB in Nero Black with Tan Leather. Car has 20K miles and all required service performed by Authorized Ferrari Dealer. Only mod I can see is a very nice sounding Tubi Exhaust. The only thing I've added so far are new chrome prancing horses front and back and a polished steel shift knob. I'm located in South-Eastern Wisconsin on the border of Illinois. I am posting the only pic I have so far, as it's been too cold here to even drive it. Nick Image Unavailable, Please Login
Congrats! I also bought a 348 last month... a TS Red/Tan. Black/Tan is an awesome combination, though. Too bad you can't drive it yet. We'd all love to see more pics of your car! Rick
Never too cold to drive it, only too snowy! Congrats, looks fantastic! The Tubi sound is intoxicating, you'll feel like Schumacher.
Great to another 348 in the area. I hope you will be able to attend my get together this fall. http://www.rodneydickman.com/show/ http://www.ferrarichat.com/forum/showthread.php?t=137935 I have not yet set a date for 2008 but it will be about the same as last year. Maybe early Sept. Had about 45 cars last year. Rodney 1990 348 TS Caledonia, Wi. Just south of Milwaukee. Image Unavailable, Please Login
Car looks great. That makes two of us in this area (greater Chicago) as I took delivery on my '93 348 SS this weekend pictured below. Ive also been a Porsche driver for the past 15 years. Not too cold for me to exercise it though as I briefly got acquainted before dropping at my mechanic for a major. Is yours by any chance the one that was at Lake Forest this past fall? Thanks everyone. Yes, more pics are on the way. Ok, I did take it out when it stopped snowing once or twice as I couldn't resist on a few sunny days. But, I wouldn't call those two drives really taking it out and racing through all the gears. Yes, I did buy the car from Lake Forest Sports Cars in Lake Forest, IL. Car had a few minor issues that I've since resolved and now that I have the car home it's better than I expected for the year. It's almost like the previous owners didn't drive it much as the car is spotless inside and out. I've never seen an engine on any car this clean. No grease or dirt anywhere in the engine compartment. I start it up every now and then just to hear the tubi exhaust. It's better than I expected or read about on this message board before I purchased it. I just might have to go with the hyperflow cats i keep hearing everyone talk about. The only problem I have is that it's black and very hard to keep clean. I wash it one day and a few days later it looks all dusty. Thanks All!! Nick
Now that you have a Ferrari there is nothing else you'll ever want to drive...welcome Nick...Hey, I'm in Racine. I'm sure you won't drive it on the salty roads until we get some thunderstorms. Image Unavailable, Please Login
Welcome to the Brotherhood. Nice car. Tubi on a 348 is like chocolate syrup on vanilla ice cream. Just makes a good thing better. Bee Jay
Nice car!! Black and tan is the best IMO, and it's totally worth the extra attention a black car demands. Congratulations, take it out every chance you get. Drive it to Cali, it's almost always sunny here, and the ocean is amazing right now.
Congrats and welcome to Ferrarichat Nick!! That is a gorgeous looking 348!! Nero/tan is a wonderful combo! Enjoy in good health my friend!
Nice car! And a hearty HELLO from the brothers in the 308/328 section (although bullfighter beat me to it). James in Denver
