It will be on the second week of March. I will spend five days-four nights at a downtown hotel near financial district. From weather site, I am expecting chill to cold during the time. As attractions, I am also planning to see Grand Palace, Great Walls,.............,etc. My host is proud of Chinese foods such as Peking duck and BBQ pork, and sort of. I am tasting a local beer!!! or should stick with Heineken...............hehe!.

Any suggestions guys! - whats for my free daytime (Ferrari showroom nearby???) and cool nightlife!?!.

    Thanks in advance,

Hi Kenny. Huanying Huanying..! (eq: to Sawadee Karp)

I'll most prolly be in CN still but like an hour's flight away. Shanghai to be exact. Yep, you must try the Beijing Duck and as for beers..try Tsingtao.

Ferrari in BJ...am not sure but maybe some folks here do know where.

Nightlife? Give "San Li Tuan" a shot. It's like Shanghai's famous bar-street albeit in BJ. Underground music/Nightclubs/KTVs/Bars etc..

great wall, forbidden city, and maybe temple of heavy are must-see. other stuff depending on your free time. there is just WAY too much to see.
chill in the back lake area for drinks and meal is a must too.
and not going against Tifosi66 but "San Li Tuan" is virtually dead. its was glorious 5 yrs ago.

If u are staying in the financial district, then go to "Ho Hai", which is nearby. Similar to San Li Tun but much livelier.. There are
about 50 pubs/bars there, with a river in the centre. Check out this great 2 storey irish pub near the centre bridge. Cant remember
the name but its irish sounding. Plays great Trance and chill out music. Here's a hint...if u were to go there alone, walk straight
towards the bar counter with the most girls. U wont be lonely for long...!

Go to the galleries and check out the contemporary art scene. Beijing is the epi-centre. In addition to bringing you endless pleasure enjoying the pieces, collecting has been unbelievably remunerative. 2 top works now = 250SWB at today's prices. 5 years ago = USD150k. There are lots of fantastic young up and coming artists - see if you can find the next superstar

I have always stayed at the Shangri la hotels, You can get the corporate rate of 130.00 US per night.
4pm to 7pm every day includes a nice selection of finger food, drinks etc. This rated will include the buffet breakfast and free internet service. Great rooms and service.

Had my fill of chinese food, but I have to go back in 2 months to Shanghai, then Taipei.

Oh, yeah, take a short trip and visit the great wall
