Who supplies the two 45 degree cooling hoses at the crossover below the plenum? They are 1 3/8" ID. I have been able to locate them from Pegasus in Silicone but prefer to stay with black rubber.

On the advice of another Fchatter, I took one of my old ones to a local parts supply store and had them search through their stock until they found something similar. The hose I got was about 18" long but had the correct bend toward one end. A razor knife cut it to the correct length. It worked for me. Joe

Rutlands had them about 2 years ago when I replaced mine, but they were very expensive --- something like $45 each. Also, Maranello Concessionaires in the UK had them --- but, were even more expensive.

I did what Joe suggests --- took one into CarQuest and matched it to a section of a generic, molded hose and cut off the ends to get the 45 degree piece I needed. Total cost was about $9 for the 2 donor hoses.

You won't be able to find the OEM wrapped look by going this route, but $80 is a lot to spend for a "look", to me...

I phoned Daniel @ Ricambi, and had them in a couple of days, I also changed the two straight ones to the water pump while I had the plenim off. Took me all day, I didn't remove the injection lines, just the plenim, and THAT wasn't easy with the injection system all in place......BUT I'm glad that I did it myself! Sure thsoe 2 were expensive, the straight ones, were not, but the whole job didn't cost me as much as having a mechanic change hoses on a Chevy, because I did it myself! SO..........once you see how much work it is, I'd say put the proper hoses on so that you won't have to do it again!!!! Cheers! Dennis

There's a Goodyear part number for hoses that work in the 308 cross reference thread.
Any GOOD auto parts store will be able to find that bend in the right size for $12.

After a long drive in my 81 I noticed a water trail that only went from just inside my entry gate to my garage......whew! That was a close one! Pulled off the cover plate and Did the exact same thing and it works great.
