Where can one get the sticker (or is that a silkscreen) for the oil breather can? No. 2 in 4RedNo's 11.02.2007 post? And could someone please recommend the right paint for the can?

    Many thanks.

This thread made me wonder where all of my original stickers were since I took them off the car at the beginning of my restoration. I remembered I had pressed them in a large format Ferrari book in my book case. Last fall there was a book drive for the local library and I pulled all of the car books I had not looked at in a long time. Guess what I gave away. I hope I can get good reproductions. Another senior moment.

Oh no, bet you cursed a little!!

Parker Hall at Kilaminjaro Designs does excellent copies of 246 stickers. Bought some and they are very, very good quality.

Plus the guy is a pure gentleman, who else would send $100 worth of stickers to the UK and say send me a cheque back when you get time.

If only we had 6.6 billion more like him.

    Tony-

Once I hobbled down stairs on my crutches (broken foot) and confirmed I indeed messed up- I did have a moment. What came to mind is the phrase "No good dead goes unpunished". I will go over to the library today but I assume that all of my books were probably sold by the pound to a used book store or dealer to raise money for books the library really wanted.

I will also give Parker a call and buy a set-- and try to put them in a much better "safe place"

Getting ready to clean up my coolant header tank, I noticed that the reproduction stickers I have come in two styles. The one from Superformance, still with its orotective plastic film in the photograph, appears closer in font and border style to the original (see earlier post with photo of original sticker), at least for 1972 US Dinos like mine. I can't recall where I purchased the other sticker, well made but perhaps for another Ferrari model or Dino year.

Incidentally, after cleaning, my coolant tank, which from its condition doesn't appear to have ever been resprayed, is glossy black in the good areas, unlike the carburetor air box, which seems to be more satin, with a faded black color (which seems to coincide with the old magazine photos I have been examining). I'm still deciding whether to just clean up and retouch the header tank (and preserve the oiginal paint for posterity) or simply strip and repaint it.
