What is the true value of the 1995 F512M. Yes the car is semi-rare with 501 made and only 75 imported to the US. I see asking prices of the low mileage cars close to $200K. But are they selling for these high numbers. What is a low mileage and higher mileage cars worth? There were a lot of Testarossas made, this one is a little different, but is it worth 30, 50 or 100% more than the regular 512TR? Thanks Gene.

I'm in the market for a 512tr and I am seeing them from 80K to 135K. I think the average price for a nice one with low miles is around 110K to 115K. What few 512Ms I've scene have been 185K to 195K. Most of them say "Inquire" under the price, so it requires a phone call to find out what they want for it. Other than the rarity, the M only offers a little more than the 512tr. Whereas the jump to the 512tr from the tr is significant in terms of improvements. You've got to like the M look too, a lot don't prefer the M look. It will be interesting to hear the responses...

I love the looks of the 512M...Ferrari should have never left the round tail lights...the modern look headlights also look better than the pop-up look of the TR...

All a matter of personal taste.
Mechanically, the 512TR and F512M are very similar.

The M will likely be pricey in the future due to scarcity.

I'm not sure there's enough for sale examples out there to give you a definitive answer. I did see a high mileage example for a 165K 3 or 4 months ago, but I can't find it on the web anymore. I have been closely watching Testas and 512s for over 4 months now.

    +1.

Though if you go via the TR, the single fly mirror and single bolt (orginal design) looks the prettiest :D but im biased.

You either love the M or hate it....the look of that car is very subjective.

I HAVE TURNED DOWN 195,000 , 200,000 AND 207,000 for My F512M Yes Don Rose knows my car very very well... it is one of the lowest miles car out there. It only has 3,824 miles and its an 3rd owner car... yellow black... There is also am F512M Dupont Registry. Platinum color with 9,000 miles, asking 250,000 firm. I spoke with the owner last friday. and no service was done to the car. I predict my june , or July the F512M will be hitting closer to 300,000 dollars.. just my thoughts even though it odd looking its still worth more them the other testarossa yes including the 512tr...

I've seen prices around $200k. It will be interesting to see where they go this summer. Low mileage for me is less then 10,000 miles.

No offense to those who own one but I don't see the attractiveness of the 512M with the exception of its rarity. I think it is the least attractive of the Testarossa line (the 512TR being the best looking of the three). Although the front is attractive with the enclosed headlights I think the wheels and the whole rear design look like and afterthought.

I agree... and as for some of you not driving your Ferrari's... it is a shame. I'm not saying you have to drive it into the ground or take it out on bad weather days, but come on. It's like marrying a supermodel and being too old and stubborn to take Viagra to make love to her? Don't worry because, in time, someone that knows how to drive and has a dollar to spend will get a hold of your baby and drive her right ;)

Many of us actual owners find that Viagra is not needed if you have a real supermodel.

While I drive a "lowly" 308 QV, I LOVE the 512M's looks. Definately not you're ordinary Testarossa, I wont be able to afford one any time soon, but I sooo want to have one.

    Beautiful car.

Then again, I'm a bit of a nutcase, because I like the 4 headlight 330 GTs, and many people think they are ugly as well.

The 512m in looks could be a pooly executed kit car, some parts work great others just look out of place with the rest of the design, while the wheels may be cool on one side they turn in the wrong direction on the opther, ferrari did not attend to the cosmetics on this one. Many people think the flat12 is ferrais most enjoyable motor and on the M they hit a serious peak. While the HP may not be that much up on a 512tr the M had a lighter crank and titanium conrods, it revs like a small bore race motor. The supension was further refined and the motor sat lower in the car diminishing the high carnk height issue of the falt 12 over the gearbox layout that haunted this setup from the boxer onwards. It is the ultimate bruiser mid engined 12 ferrari with challenged even by testarossa standards looks. As a street driven car at less than say 9/10ths maybe there is little or no diffrence betwen it and a 512tr.

Put a M motor in a boxer with modern rubber and viola the best of all worlds, what ferrari might have built over time assuming no regulations or need to satify customer comfort.

I thought the motor/trans relocation predated the 512M and was incorporated into the 512tr. No?
