I always have pretty much all my money invested into things, however i have an amount at the moment sat in one of my accounts at the moment doing sod all as im trying to buy something that has gone to sealed bids. So keeping the money there unitl i know one way or t'other.

So decided putting it on the money market for a week at a time would be a good idea. Phoned HSBC, nothing doing. £50k minimum only. Phoned Halifax and because im a newish customer, the won't do anything for me either. The amount is only very slightly under HSBC's minimum, but im amazed that on one will take it on.

    Any suggestions ????

ps - am i going to get a load of pm's and e-mails now from Africans offering me £100 million in exchange for my amount ???

If its only "very slightly under HSBC min" why not just chuck in the extra few quid ?

Its a couple of £k under which i don't have at the moment. As previously stated i have all my money in things. I have a small amount of cash i pay myself each month for living and avoid using credit cards as much as possible.

Next time i can get access to anymore funds is a months time. So its not an option.

I want it on a week at a time and Natwest will only do me 28 days at the amount i have.

Guess it stays in the account
