I have not been posting on this forum lately for various reasons, its time to break the silence to give all modelers of this community another (I hope) useful resource – the most complete database of 1/24 Ferrari kits and aftermarket detail sets/decals.

I have been collecting information about these kits for more than 5 years, and this is the last version of my little encyclopedia. Still missing some pictures and info on some (especially newest and just announced) kits, but I have not seen a more complete database anywhere else. It will be updated and finished in the coming weeks – I’m still adding all the pictures and descriptions, and working on design and navigation, but the basic structure is there. Corrections and additions/missing pictures or kit ##s are always welcome via email.

As mentioned earlier, this compilation took me years to research and months to put together. Please use, but do not abuse – no copies or distribution in any shape or form.

Wow, this took a lot of work. Thank you for posting. I went through the list and find I have about 50% of these.

The 288 GTO Evoluzione by Graphyland, any idea where I can get one of these? I have a 1/24 hand made built of this car, but I would like to get another. I have no idea who made the built model I have, I bought it in Europe over 10 years ago.

That is an amazing site, and as a fellow modeler I agree that this will be a huge help in my quest to own every Ferrari (in 1/24 of course).

I am glad to see that now you have a little more time to build models and update your site. I had been checking your site since the last update on February 28th and I feared that you would eventually close it down. But, this is good news today.

Keep up the good work. You are an inspiration for many of us. Best regards,

    Gilles Lachance

    Thanks guys,
288 GTO Evoluzione by Graphyland has been produced in tiny numbers, and its next to impossible to find a mint kit right now. No, scratch that, it IS impossible to find a mint kit right now. I would pay good money for one. Hopefully someone will release another kit of this car soon.

Gilles, I think I won't have any time very soon, but I'll try to do my best to update the site.

    Thanks again, and regards,
    Alex

    Alex,
From someone who prefers 1/24 kits over anything diecast, I gotta say, THANKS!

THANKS! Great addition to help all! One thing, are you sure about that 348 from Testors being plastic? I have that car, from the same box (can't be sure if I got the diecast metal kit-second hand-in the correct box), but it sure is pre-painted metal and went together like a Bburago model...

Another little FYI: The AMT Ferrari P4 'twin-pack' (with Porsche 907) kit is also the very same Heller 1:24 P4 made under licence. ;)

As far as 1:24 slot cars go, there were also P3 spyders by Dynamic Models (Lancer shell) and MRRC (England) and Riggen (Jad Gater) ....

.... and Dynamic also did a 'handling-bodied' 1:24 P4 slot car kit. Here's links to the two Dynamic 1:24 slot cars (sold in '67 and '68):

    http://vsrnonline.com/Library/Dynamic/Ferrari330p3_Art.jpg and http://vsrnonline.com/Library/Dynamic/2006_DealerSht.jpg

But as all these 1:24 slot cars had vac-formed bodies and aren't, shall we say exactly 100% to scale .... maybe you ought to omit them.
