Hey mini-ferrari, was it the 1/8th scale version you saw or the 1/18th? I'm sure @ $3995.00, the 1/8th is superb!

We currently have license for a number of additional cars, but it's a bit premature to talk about the next one yet. The plan is to announce something in late summer for delivery about this time next year.
The gestation period for these cars is approx 14 months

Well, since you are here anyway, is there a slight possibilty for getting us a discount??????? so we can scale up from 1:18 to 1:8????????????(just joking)

I must compliment you, the P4 looks awesome! (seriously doubting about the 1:8, its a load of money, but its really special!)

I just pre-ordered my GMP Ferrari 330P4 yesterday. It should be available around May/June according to my email response from GMP.

Pre-ordering for the 1:18 P4 now available on GMP Diecast's own website: http://www.gmpdiecast.com/products/details.cfm?ProductNumber=G1804101&category=1%3A18%20Scale%20Ferrari

(there are more clickable photos of their 1:18 pre-production P4 on that page) ....

    .... and from Replicarz: http://www.replicarz.com/prodinfo.asp?number=GMP1804101

(Note: The main image Replicarz are using on this page appears to be of the pre-production GMP 1:8 Real Art Replicas P4)

Courtesey of Mark Sanderson, general manager of GMP Diecast, here are a few more close-ups of their pre-production 1:18 P4 model.

Check out some of the finer details. ;)

Apart from obvious things like plug leads; wiring loom and fuel lines .... how about the overflow pipe from the header tank ? And brake lines, too - even down to individual wire hooks on the end of the spare wheel bungee cords, and look at those 1:18 'rubbahooks' !!

Is there anything decided yet on the production numbers? I ask this because there are so many nice models coming out this year and I would like to spread the cost a bit. So if it's possible to order one later in the year that would be great but if it is anticipated that it will be a limited production run then I have to reconsider. Thanks.

    Best, Peter

We will most likely not limit them in the near term, but each will be serialized.

So who's going to be the lucky owner of serial # 0860 of this first GMP 1:18 P4 model Mark ? ;)

Reckon that one might be worth putting on eBay ! :D

I can't wait to get my 330 P4 from GMP later in the year but what would be even better if GMP would also release a 1:18 detailed 206 S Dino as well. The only Dino 206 S that's available in 1:18 scale is a resin model which is produce by MG Models Plus which I’ve added a picture below. It's just okay if you want to spend about $480 on a model that’s has no open hoods and doors to see any of the details like GMP’s 330 P4 Ferrari and this is just my opinion but I think the 330 P4 has been produced enough times and I have about 10 Joueff Ferrari in my collection now all in red so having a detailed version of a 1:18 scale 206 S would be awesome.

I totally agree. There are other overlooked Ferraris like the 312 P or 500 TRC.

Can't agree with you there. I prefer quality to quantity. There is no high quality, detailed 330 P4 in 1:18; the GMP will fill that void.

I do agree on the Dino. GMP, CMC, Exoto, bring it on!

Also, we need a high quality 512S. The upcoming Mattel will certainly fill a void, but similar to the Jouef models, it will not be a high quality rendering, but a 10 footer.

I thought that too, maybe they're getting by with it by calling it a pre-order...? Dunno... All I know is I need one.

I dropped the eBay seller a hint, via eBay's 'Ask the seller a question'. Will be interesting to see if he bothers to correct it. ;)

Mark, I know that you have to keep the future releases secret, but you can tell us what they will be - we won't tell anyone...
