This is a GREAT summary of color versus resale. Why get the most "popular" color if you're going to think it's second-best while driving it? Likewise, I'd much rather buy a "secondary" color, have it take longer to sell, and enjoy it every minute of ownership.

In my case, I was lucky that red is my favorite color on a Ferrari, and has the best resale. I'm loving every minute of my new-to-me red 360. After buying it, driving it, and seeing it in my garage... I would still pick red even if it had the worst resale.

This is my first Ferrari and I could not have her not in red...
Probably since I am new to this world. But I havent regreted it so far...
She is a beauty and so far I have not seen more beautiful 430, neither in real life nor on pics.
Just mybe if I had chosen differently I could be missing something. I dont know...

Anyway, as to the second part, be prepared...the attention is enormous, everywhere you go peple will rush to you, talk talk talk and take photos and sometimes yes, not too nice grins on the faces...but who cares...

Even 2-3 year old girls smile and wave in the back of the car while the parents take pics (while driving :))

If you go for a nice lunch or supper , you will find people staring at you in the restaurant...

Not everybody is nice but you will find many admirer and fan who will be amazed. And seeing their enthusiasm and joy of seeing or touching a Ferrari in person will make you feel really good...

    Best

Everyone has a duty to pick the color they like, without concern for others opinion!

I think, the rosso corsa is the most beautiful red (and I'm talking pure red, not orangy red or dark red) that any car car maker has ever been able to come up with.
I feel that there is some kind of a "snobism" these days to have a Ferrari in anything but red! In my opinion there is a good reason why red Ferraris are so common (amongst Ferraris): They just look so darn good!

This said, Whatever the color that floats your boat is the color you should choose. It's your got Damn very expensive car after all!

There's nothing like sitting back into Italian tan hides. Of course, it's a very personal choice.
My 1997 993 C2S is Polar Silver with full brick red interior, and I feel like its a very classic Porsche color combo and
feels just right. Whatever you choose I'm sure it will satisfy... after all it's a Ferrari!

SUCH a classic epistemology question (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Epistemology). Someone prove to me that the color you are seeing is the same color I am seeing. Maybe your red = MY TDF Blue. Sorry, old philosophy major....

Red may resell quicker but it also says, "HEY LOOK WORLD, I GOT MY FIRST FERRARI!!!" ;)

Colors are like people - we react to them differently. I own a Silverstone and Cuio 430, but have owned other colors as well. Nothing wrong with a red Ferrari, but if you go to an event, you will have trouble finding your car. Best

I don't know who I'm more annoyed with....
...the original poster for asking such an subjective question? (Yeah, why not 'F1 vs 6spd' again?)
...or some of the people posting in this thread as if there is any ONE right answer.
...or myself for, once again, wasting time by reading through some of the inane posts by some people. LOL

Opionions are a lot like @ssholes, everybody's got one, and they all stink.

For me, I went red/tan; that should mean jack to you. YOUR MILEAGE WILL VARY!!!!!
Get what YOU think YOU will like best. I can tell you that red and yellow will likely draw the most attention. If attention isn't what you want, I'd suggest not buying a ferrari since you are going to get some regardless of color or model. Period.

Sorry, just a little psychotic episode; took my meds and I'm much better now. :)
But, I still believe in getting what you yourself like; nobody else is buying it for you. Anybody telling you that "red is gay" or "blue matches your balls" or "yellow looks like wee" is just a little loopy in the noodle.

Just wondering... anybody out there been absolutely bummed and disappointed in the color that they picked OF THEIR NEW FERRARI????
Would probably be some interesting stories to hear I'd think. Personally, even if my car were green with little orange pokadots, I'd still think it was beautiful.

Differentiate yourself........red is ofcourse a beautiful color on a Ferrari, but nearly every second Ferrari is red. It is too common. Titanium/Bordeaux is a fantastic combination, very elegant. Mine is Grigio Silverstone/Bordeaux.

Went in to a Ferrari delaer to buy a typical red/tan, ended up with this specially ordered one. It looks exotic yet elegant and the interior is magnificent. Truly a work of art

I live in Dix Hills, New York. To be honost, I think I have only seen blue silver and other color ferraris around here.No red or Yellow. Even the rolls royces I have seen were this sandy color and my neihbors Bentley is this Brownish greenish color. When the stocks are right maybe one day I whould get a Red Ferrari.
