How many people have bought the new Capristo exhaust with valves and eliminating the upper cats? How is the sound inside the car? Any resonance?

This is the sound in a Berlinetta, you have a spider I think.
The sound is much more aggressive !!!!!!!!

It doesn't sound llike a 355. It has lost some of its howl as much as I can tell on the video. It sounds deeper.

I had the new system fitted the other week.

    Here's a vid of it revving http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=dNUmYXDRUFQ

I had a Dyno test before fitting the new system and she came back at 360bhp (i'm told that's good). I've just got to put a few hundred miles threw her before she has another Dyno test and see if the extra horeses have been added. It does feel more powerful when it kicks in at 5000rpm.

And think it sounds great in the car!

I agree it doesn't quite have the raspy sound as the standard Capristo but It sounds bloody aggressive and it makes my hair stand on end when i drop down a cog and fly under a under-pass!

Hopefully the dyno comes back with the extra BHP claimed (it certainly seems quicker and more powerful). Plus the exhaust deals with the inherient problem of the exhaust manifolds cracking and valve issues as well. So the slight trade off in raspy sound for more of an aggressive sound plus more power and the problems it sovles is well worth it I recon!

    How so??...

Does it also end world hunger and stop global warming as well? ;) JK

But seriously would like to know how the elimination of by-pass valve would solve header cracking problem and valve guilde issues...

It sounds like a 360........ IMO .......... not that its bad........ just not as good as the other capristo. HP gains can make up for some of the lost sound ....maybe.........................this is what it should sound like......;)

It's the new Capristo that deletes the Y-pipe. It's not been out that long.

I understand that with the valves now two of them on each side of the tail pipes they are now normally open and it requires the vacum to pull the valves closed. This is how the system allows for the exhaust gasses to exhaust more freely thus reducing the exhaust back pressure and saving the manifolds in the long run. As for the sound I am also curious about the sound difering from the original Capristo sound 3 for example. It is strange how even withing the sound 3 level exhaust how many diferent sound are produced between one car and another all of the same year models??
