I've set of 355 Spider seats with the self contained seat belts on Ebay now and have received questions from 348 and TR owners as to whether these seats can be used in these cars so there's no longer a need for the irritating mouse belts. Anyone have any experience with this substitution? Thanks.

Well, you certainly don't NEED the mouse belts in operation in the 348. The 1989 model didn't have them, and it shows right in the Owners Manual how to use the brackets built into the seats themselves on the post-89 models. I haven't had the mouses hooked up in my 348 since I bought it.

I have no experience with substituting 355 seats into a 348 or a TR.

Yes, those seats you're selling bolt directly into the 348, however 2 DPDT rocker switches would have to be installed to control the forward & back movement. I'm going to be doing this exact conversion to my 348 this weekend, and will post a full writeup on the process next week.
