As winter drags on here in the Midwest, I find myself thinking about the things that I want to do to the car. It's going to be a while before the salt leaves and all of the potholes are fixed, so I'll have plenty of time for my suspension rebuild before the driving season.

Thinking beyond that I would really like to go to an electronic ignition system. I've already decided on the Electromotive, so the lingering question is what to do with my distributors. I am really not the type to leave stuff laying around so what I'm curious as to what is the value of a pair of perfectly good Distributors? The whole thing, Distributors to the coils. Any ideas?

I know some will chime in and say to keep them in a box just in case, but when I go electronic I'm not going back. If the next owner (that will be a long time from now) wants to convert it back then he/she can seek out another pair...
The distributors were rebuilt at the last service (11/05) and function as they should. So, thoughts on their worth?

    Thanks!

    JIM

You should PM NickT, he sold his on ebay and got the same price he paid or his electronic ignition system.

    Sounds good to me!

That is what I'm hoping for as it will very much appease my Wife! :). I'm spending quite a bit on the car this year so I need to keep her happy.

Brand new ones, last time I saw some were $800 each, a rebuilt one, tested/calibrated, is about $500, so used good condition...somewhere south of that, I'd think.....
