Cool Photo / story.

Out in the 348 today. Get out go buy somethign come back and these three kids, about 10, 11, & 12, are trying their best to get a seriptissious photo of the car. I ask if they would like a picture in it and it makes their day. They were really cool and must have taken 20 photos. In the end, I took one too.

I have a similar story- 2 years ago I was out for a cruise with my GF in the 308 and she spots a yard sale close to home, so we stopped. The ladies running the yard sale were so excited about the car, one ran in the house to get a camera and the other asked non-stop questions about the car. I let them sit in the car and take photos of each other.
The last thing the yard sale lady said is, my Husband will never believe this ! (and wish he had stayed home)

 

Just imagine, if she was your daughter and a bunch of "Older men" were chatting about her in this manner. How would you feel?! Tsk tsk!

Either at best she was 13 at worst 11!!!! But she was really cool and a car nut. Thought the car was a Testarossa but got closer to the actually model than her two brothers. I never even saw the parents which stunned the heck out of me.

But you are all right about one thing, there must be a VERY HOT mother around here some where. Hopefully she is making some lucky bastard a very happy man!

 

She must be a car nut indeed to know what a testarossa is at 13 yo ! Very cool story , binging a smile to people is one of the plus of having these cars.

Boy oh boy... times sure have changed since I was that age.

I remember big hair, Z-cavaricci pants, IOU shirts and pastel colors. They sure didn't look like that girl when I was that age.

It *is* a grainy picture, so I'm sure she looks a lot younger in person than in the pic (at least that's my excuse)

 

I reckon 13, but I'd like to see the mother :yes:

As for the story, it's cool how easy it is to make someone's day at absolutely zero cost to you, and the bonus is, in the words of Blur, it gives you "a tremendous feeling of well being".

I had my yellow Spider down in Spain a few years ago and one evening was just sat outside a bar off Burriana Beach having a beer. I could see these two spanish lads, about 8 and 10 looking all over the car, and figured they belonged to the spanish couple sat about 10 feet away. After a bit of pigeon spanish and ushering of hands and the lads spent the next 15 minutes taking turns in the driver/passenger seat. No cost to me and a lot of big smiles all round even from other people in the bar.

 

God I wish!!!

Knowing the world today, I made sure I was a good three steps away from the kids at just about all times.

And yes, I was stunned that she got as close as she did with the model!!! So much so that I missed a

I had my car down at a small shop getting all the electrical work checked, and the guy told me that at least 10 kids a day, for the three days it was there, would stop by and take pictures with their cell phones...even in Kuwait, there's a huge amount of interest in any Ferrari that's being taken care of.

The very first day I took the car out was to get the Federal inspection done a couple of days ago, right after my gal and I went to Chapters to see if the Forza mag was in while I was there I noticed a mini van pull up beside my spider and a gentleman with his 5 year old daughter were taking pics in front of the car so I went out and asked if he would like to get a picture of her sitting in the car, he was thrilled and I have never seen a bigger smile on a kid except maybe mine when I got the car I looked like this
