Great pictures! Do you know the serial numbers of any of the cars or when the pictures were taken?

    Regards,

    Art S.

My father passed away about 6 yrs ago. It would take some time to figure out which cars were which based on the minimal paperwork dad left behind. He was collecting Ferrari's since the early 70's up to when he died in 2001. The pics of the Daytona's were taken when he bought them new. The pics of the 250 Cal. were taken in the late 80's, as well as the 400 being cut by Straman. Dino pic. late 90's. 308 early 80's @Daytona. Red GTS @ Moroso, Dad driving....

Those are some amazing cars - did you keep any in the family or were they all sold?

All of the pictured cars had been sold by my father before he died. The only Ferrari he owned when he died was a '99 550 Maranello, Yellow. I sold it a few month's later. I have many more photos of other Ferrari's he once owned. I will upload them once I get them scanned.

The california spider seems to be from serial number range 15xx (or 1663). What was your father's name?

I think this thread is appropriate to stand alone, as the other thread is largely of comp cars from an earlier time.

Or, it could be retitled to read: Bob Gittleman's Ferraris.

    ;)

As I recall, I met Bob while I was judging the 365 class at the annual meet in Hershey, 1980.
    He had some incredible cars.

Was the black 330 GTS his?

Now, for a question: The Daytona being cut appears to have bolt on front wheels instead of center lock.
Was there a conversion or are my eyes playing tricks?????!!!!!

Zombie thread resurrection award. (seemed about the best thread)... Does anyone know which 400 (maybe 365 GT4) 2+2 was Bob Gittleman's.?? His son gittledog was on here but doesn't seem to have posted in long time. His son said he got it a Scottsdale auction in early 80's and was said to be Evel Knievel's. Other cars of his are well documented (Daytona Spyder esp.), but not this. Gittledog posted a pic with his dad's Panther Daytona shooting brake. He also posted another pic when he said it got Stramanized. Does anyone know which chassis this is??? Thanks
