2001 Corvette, auto, 34k miles, bone stock. It was real hard to beat the cost/performance ratio on the vette. She wanted something sporty with at least a targa if not convert. She's already set her sights on an exhaust system, window tint and blacked out tail lights for the None More Black look.

cant wait to hit the track with it... thats if I can get her out of the drivers seat for a session or two :D

That has Knight Rider written all over it.

NICE! I love C5's. Now if your looking to get some performance out of it on a budget look at LS6 (Z06) parts. Go full exhaust with headers it really livens these cars up.

Those look like Cray wheels too.

I would do Kooks headers ASAP!

    they are indeed Cray's.

will likely go with a cat back system, either a Corsa or something custom from fellow F-chatter MufflerMan.

Nice ride. Is it just me, or does the Vette seem a bit high.

Not in my neck of the woods...my daughters first car was a 5 speed BMW and she followed up with many manuals with subsequent cars. My wife too prefers manuals having a 5 speed Toyota Tercel as her first car and then an e34 M5 and manual tranny Mustang GT. The parking lots of our local high schools are full of manual transmission Hondas, BMWs, ect...You must teach your wife and children to drive a manual and then they will prefer it...thats how new car enthusiasts are created...always remember, friends do not let friends drive automatics...

My wife DEFINITELY knows how to drive a stick <insert joke here>... she holds several land speed records, runs trackdays and can drive any car with wheels.

the auto was chosen for several reasons, she is going to use it as a daily driver, in traffic, so an automatic makes sense. The auto also has room to the left of the brake pedal for me to stretch out my left leg (i've got a bum knee and need to stretch it out on long rides).
