Nice pics, were these taken by your father? I remember you saying he was a car enthuiast, if so that silver 288GTO picture is rare.
I took the photos posted. I was 16 at the time. I drove my dad's Testarossa from Miami to W. Palm with my parents behind pulling a 330 gts.
Cool pics. What is this car here that I circled. (Excuse my ignorance, I don't know the early cars that well) Image Unavailable, Please Login
What a lucky kid you were! My own 308 is silver, a color I love more the longer I have it, and have always wondered what a GTO would look like in that color. I did not think it had ever been done. (If anyone knows the story of that car, please post it!) And what about the car in the very top left photo?
Is the circled car a 330GTS...or something along those lines? Without a book in front of me, that is what jumps into my brain...
About the silver GTO, if you look closer you can see that the licence plate is from Mexico. "Sam Bardor based in Mexico City and Houston had two silver 288 GTOs (both painted post-production), chassis numbers 54225 and 56335."
Really great pictures, i can almost smell the 80s from the old orangish color of them However, i have a question. Being a newbie to the community accept my apologies if thats a very known fact cause nobody else mentioned it, but i'll go mad if i dont ask, does the first car on the upper left side with "FLY 4RE" plates, has 8 exhaust tips or am i dillusional? cheerio..
Great Thread. I'll try to find some of my old photos from CA shows in the early '80's and post. This is fun stuff! Thank you.
