They said earlier in the broadcast he was being paid $46 million a year... Maybe they should have paid him less and put some more money in the car...
Anyone else thinking we were duped with all of the reports of the dominant Ferraris this season? This is feeling very much like last year, when we were led to believe Ferrari was far superior to the field but it wasn't showing in the races/qualifying.
Massa blew his second chance there. Good thought by the team to abandon and pit. Saved a lap of fuel. Look at those split times on the cool down laps. LH 69.2 seconds S1! That is fuel saving.
Dominence and track set-up are two different things. I don't doubt that the Ferrari's are capable of being faster than any car on the track at MOST any race this year. But its up to the chief engineer and the driver to get set-up correct, and that can be a crap shoot.
Doesn't look good guys! Kimi better do a miracle tomorrow. Vettel looks pretty good...Like vsry soon in Ferrari "good"
He doesn't do car development, never has. That story is absolute BS. He is paid to drive, that's it. Giancarlo did all the development, according to the one person that should know, Briatore.
Stefano Domenico explained Kimi's DQ was as was predicted. Pit Entry is part of the track and if a car is stranded on the track they are out of qualifying. Said he thought they could have fixed the problem in time for Q2 if they had the chance. Kimi will have be in Felipes position from last year. Wouldnt really comment on Felipe's position: "We will see" this was on itv btw
Don't forget it's also up to the driver to have the talent to make the car go as fast as it can, which is what screwed Ferrari today when they had to rely on Massa in final quali... fastest car in the field and he puts if 4th. Pffft.
