210 Freeway Area Drive Event?

    I've spoken to a few other F-Chatters who live up here off of the 210 and everyone seems interested in a drive event that's closer to home. I'd like to shoot for Sunday, April 6, which should leave us plenty of time to organize the event. Before we decide on a meeting point and route, how many people in this area would be interested? Ferrari ownership not required - any interesting car will do (Lambo, Alfa, Maser, Lotus, etc.). So far:

    The La Canada-Pasadena locals: testshoot, dilancer, fastlankan, danskies. I think Realride and WayneS are still in our hood. Valerio is as well ;)

    FYI as of late, CHP has been doing mad crackdowns on anything even slightly over the limit (kiss that 5mph buffer goodbye) all over the 2-210-134 triangle.

    edit: Dilancer and I have been thinking about having an fchat lunch or dinner someplace in the area as well for fchatters. Everything is a drive from us. 60miles to c&c, 40 to VCR... Maybe drunken bullriding at Union Cattle Company? lol

    Would love to take pics/video if anything comes up. Haven't been on a run since Motor4Toys. And I'm pretty sure, a few locals here like Edward S, Real Ride, Numisrx would be interested as well.

    that idea is WORSE it is right angle turns from a dead stop, no guardrail some of it, potholes big enough to swim in and traffic that veers head-on too often to your lane

    I would be interested. We could start the opposite direction going up` Azusa hwy 39 to Glendora Ridge Rd, and come out in Mt Baldy. We could stop for lunch at the Mt Baldy Lodge, or go south on Baldy Rd and eat in Downtown Claremont where the colleges are and get special parking there or at Victoria Gardens. If we got a good group there could be a "car show" at Victoria Gardens and a ton of GREAT restaraunts there. Plus the girllfriends are happy as it is a superb outdoor mall.

    If we go to Baldy we don't want to go up to the top.....no furthur than Ice House as the road is crappy
