Going to be a fun season. Ferrari will recover. Glad to see BMW such a contender.

While it's obviously way too early in the season to draw conclusions about the championship fight this year, count me among those who believe that Hamilton's not going away. He drives as if he expects to be on pole...you always expect him to contend for the top time on a qualifying lap. Hopefully we won't have to last through another season of watching Kimi's car self-destruct and place him at near-impossible odds to win.

Kubica fully offroad flat out and still on front row. Hahaha. Awesome. And only .177 off Hamilton's pole. FCK YESSSS.

I'm pissed about Kimi though! Only thing keeping me from killing someone is the thought that they can now run whatever fuel strategy they want. And that F2008 is so fast that with a clean start, he can make up a lot of time.

    So the soap opera begins...

p.s. If I were Max Mosley and was running the FIA, the LAST team I would ask to develop a standard ECU would be McLaren. Leaves too much speculation up in the air...

Well, we've all seen Massa's race craft...so it looks like it's up to Kimi to win tomorrow. Congrats to Kubica an BMW and also Kovi.

LIke I said, set-up is a key ingrediant. In the movie, The Graduate, the word was "Plastics". In qualifying, along with set-up, the word is "fuel load". I guess that's two words, sorry.

My point is, we have no idea of the pit strategy which affects fuel load. So Massa may be heavy in fuel. Before we criticize, let's see what happens during the race when it comes to pit strategy.

The other potential reality is that the McLaren's have been sandbagging during pre season. I dunno.

Actully, none of us knows. We are are just guessing.

I am guessing that Massa will win the race.

Hmm... Seabass seems completely outclassed by Vettel. Although Nelson wasn't very impressive, Alonso proved the car is slow and won't be a factor this year. Fears that BMW lost ground were without merit. And Lewis and Heikki will run away and hide tomorrow. Heikki was overdriving but Lewis looked as though he could have used one hand while the rest of the field were behind Auto Union Type C's. LH should be considered the favourite this season, even though race 1 is tomorrow.

Listening to the press conference. I can't STAND Hamilton. I can't stand what he says, how he talks, his arrogance... His confidence as a rookie has turned into pure, smug, arrogance, in my opinion. Ugh.

What are you saying? Massa still leads the 2007 season in the single fastest race lap. And if you take away the errors by his own team, or mechanical errors, he actually proved himself to be as fast AND reliable as his teammate. Actually more so. Just as in the first half of the 2007 season, Massa will carry Ferrari from total embarrassment. Just look at real statistics and race facts, not some other FChat poster's biased BS.

I disagree. He may drive for Mercedes vs Ferrari but I think he's the real deal. Raised and brought up by the team. He has great talent, handles the press very well (Kimi could be better with this), very good team skills, shows his emotions to prove he's not a machine. Very confident, and very competetive the two things you want most in a champion.

I concur, Lewis is so arrogant now. He thinks he is some super driver who will be the next Schumacher, in reality he is an overconfident @$$hole who needs to wake up.
I read another article on Lewis today, saying he was too busy to be active in the GPDA. What horse$***. I used to like LH, not anymore.

Massa outqualified Kimi, it must be the apocalypse. Kimi has been known to drive through the field from a bad starting position, and hopefully Phil can keep it on the track and get a podium/win.

Problems again with ferrari? looks like a bad 2007 remake !
    I'm so disapointed...

Last year Massa started the race on the same 16th place and finished 6th.
I hope Kimi won't have to change engine or gearbox.

I am not usually the one to defend Hamilton, but how would any of you act if you were in his shoes? He is like a kid in a candy store, I do not find him arrogant. Yet.

With some of the posts I read here, there are a few of you that would truly appear arrogant in his position making Lewis look like Mother Theresa.

I am just not sure without the McLaren he would be getting all of this attention.
