Does it stay or not?
interesting words with the poll there rob. reminded me of the day we had the voting to keep the monarchy.
all around Victoria the roads, water ways, public transport, medical needs, schools ect are crumbling and they give the public this crap with huge loss every year.IMO Victoria is ending up a 3rd world state.
and the bottom line yes a surplus with huge borrowings, and nothing is being spent on the publics needs and wants, the State is in a bad way. So glad I'm self supporting.
surplus via stamp duty and road fines, big deal.Great school teachers and that grinning idiot run our state. We need the army to step in and take control.
Blame the idiots who voted this mob in. Imagaine what Vic would be like if Kennet was still in. I'm with you. Victoria is becoming the worlds most "UN"liveable state. If you gonna get rid of the GP, stop all spending on the arts etc as well.
state liberal had a crushing defeat last election. they must really hate Kennett a lot for liberal to pay the price after 8 years. IMO bunch of incompetent idiots that's running the whole show, the roads were exactly the same as 12 years ago, and the population had doubled, you cannot get into the city during peak hours, and the public transport system is a wreck! taxi drivers don't know where they're going, plenty people want to do medicine but NO you can't get it, your score was 0.05% lower than required!! but we'll import more from Overseas!! We need more cops? no problem, midgets, biggest loser contestants, come on in! who cares if they're out of shape when all they'll do is sit in a parked car radaring motorists because that's where our state government's main income sources are! our government should have managed the place a LOT better than what it is right now, and have enough money to make sure everything is working and investing in the future, have some sort of foresight, and whatever it is left over, perhaps we can afford the luxury of having the F1. Its like someone making minimum wage struggling with mortgage, bills, kids going to school, fixing the home, and still trying to lease for a bloody brand new BMW. Its bloody INSANE!
interested, you'll be long gone before him. talking about that, just when is your ban thread going to end?
Obviously have a headache from the GP, can you hear me Uncle Robert? I voted the top one, I want it here so everyone will be in an uproar like Clipsal and they'll vote the Libs back in. Mike Rann is a tosser.
S>A gps were great,I went to about 5.Melbourne AGP I can handle it if its break even, small loss bit FFS its a 40 million $ loss every year,it must go or pay its way. What is with the F18's and that old 747(Longreach) whom is paying for that?
Well we were going to venture to Melbourne for the GP (dad/mum went to the first one here in '85 and enjoyed it, haven't been since.) but we ended up moving house and missed it. Would love to see it next year, just depends on where it is.
Bobby, Bobby, Bobby You would be the first to complain if we lost a Formula 1 round You cannot measure the value of this event in terms of money - $40m is loose change to ANY state government - it's the cost of about 1 Km of freeway FFS. It may well be true that your government does not spend it's money wisely. If that's the case, vote the idiots out. But, IMHO, the GP is good for Australia, good for the "feel good" factor and good for the economy as a whole. If we lose it, it will not be the World Drivers Championship, but the 3rd world countries Championship
No different to Perth loosing the WRC (Rally Australia) round ? WA govt is rolling in money but refused to support the event. Sad fact of life is that politically correct governments won't support motorsport for fear of giving their opposition any politcal mileage or loosing more votes to the greens. Funny thing is in the ACT, the Sumernats are the biggest annual tourism event, and while the govt/ greens hate it, they do ( begrudginly) support it because of the stimulus to the economy. M
