With 1 hour to go Dyson team #20 car pull Lally out and Leitzinger in. On fresh tires, Leitzinger is averaging 1.5 seconds per lap slower than Lally......... 35 mins to go, Audi #1 in with Kristensen, fuel and fresh rubber. ... . #7 Porsche and #15 Acura running 1-2 13 seconds apart, both are believed to need a splash to make the finish...

The audi is gonna catch I think

    13 seconds. 4 minutes left. 6 seconds a lap!

-edit Pcar didnt catch the white flag. That probably sealed Leitz's fate.

edit2- maybe not He has sped up!

    TK did a 1:48.x, 1:50.8 and a 1:50.9

If he could have done 1:57's he would have had a podium!

The Fernandez Acura disqualified for air restrictor failure moving the Dyson Porsche RS into 2nd overall.

that's the pits for sure - those two guys really are dedicated, running the events with just Adrian and Luis. I wonder what IMSA is going to do with the P2 cars after this race. Lots of comments made about AGR not giving Marco more time in the car - he was VERY fast in practice yesterday morning and kept them up in front - driver change and not nearly as good - too bad for Marco when we heard Michael saying on the radio to park it. I was very sad to see Chapman having the brake problems with the 008 - the guys worked hard on the Aston and were running second in class for quite a while. Since #62 was out, I was very happy for the Lizards - Seth is always so very cordial and appreciative of comments about his team. Got some great photos of the two cars and their trohpies in the paddock area. We were there when Theys went off, he got back out and the workers fixed the tires in short order. The hour long stint behind the pace car was quite unnecessary. We heard over the radio several comments from drivers being made about the Ford not needing to be out on the track.... Got some photos of the R8 V12 TDI that was in the tent - talk about an awesome machine!! Audi is running the season with two cars - Marco and Lucas and Pirro and Biela. Not quite the battle we were looking for with the r10's and 908 but we're off to some of the LMS races to see how it all shakes out on some awsome circuits in Europe. Two road circuits and back to real track racing!!!

To clarify a bit. Fernandez car had a crack in the intake. Post race they drop a plug into the restrictor intake. The engine should die. It didn't because of cracks below the plug. Could have given them an advantage on one hand, on the other hand shows how brutal Sebring is.

With you Carol on Marco. I've been a little sceptical of him at times I could list. But he was fast and on the gas in a zone. Even being a true Andretti on pit lane giving them hell for this and that on the radio. "What are you doing, why didn't you do that last stop." A true Andretti.

Looks like he took over the title of "Porsche-paid factory driver" that Tomas Enge so capably earned last year...

When Marco was leading the overall standings, it was apparently the first time since 1972 that an Andretti (Mario in the Ferrari 312PB) led at Sebring!
