Kudos to all you out there who have decided to quit smoking! I quit 30 years ago and never regretted it. All you need is some loved one to tell you that you taste like an ashtray! It's a filthy habit. Keep it up Chris. For me, that's how I've been able to save up for my "new:" 1995 F355. Now I drink beer and eat kalbasa.,

Congrats to all that stopped smoking and a go ahead to all that want to. Each of us has his own reasons to do it and to keep up with it.
I've stopped a couple of years ago as I also wanted to see my 5 kids grow up. I put the money (a pack a day) aside and play the national lottery on wednesday and saturday with half of it. Last year got a lucky strike and won 50 K euro. What else do you want for that extra push to put those cigs aside? I was hoping to get me nice a Mondial QV, but decided to invest the money for a couple of years. We'll see what future brings.
    Best

I thought about this thread a few days ago, what I find unusual for me is that I have no desire at all, I don't miss smoking, even on long road trips. It's strange; I always thought I would miss it.

Must have been a couple of months now. :)

Still smoke free since Memorial Day. :D

I get a craving from time to time, but they get easier every day. My friends who still smoke have been pretty cool about not bugging me or teasing me or "testing my willpower" too. It's all good. :)

Still smoke free here too, it now feels like I never smoked. I caught the smell of a random person smoking yesterday, can't believe I used to smell like that and no one told me! I now feel sorry for all the people who had to smell that.

Your daughter is very cute; I think she likes her Daddy. :)

Congrats to all those who are still smoke free, it feels great doesn’t it.

I quit January 2008 after almost fifty years of smoking. Failed to quit numerous times before but this time was almost magic. I did use the Chantix pills for a month or so but had quit by the second week. I cannot understand why I ever did smoke, as stated here by others, "I didn't know how it smelled." Good on all of you who have quit, it's a wonderful thing.

That's the double-edged sword of quitting. I know I don't smell that way anymore, but I'm painfully aware of everyone who does. :)

When my sense of smell returned after quitting it was a mixed blessing. Some doors are best left unopened;)

    Thanks Oz! :)

Cheers bro, I agree on the reward, still undecided as to what it will be, thinking garage makeover...... :)

Congrats on quitting!! A habit of 50 years is hard to change no matter the habit, and being a tobacco habit would add to that challenge. Well done!

    Agreed! :)

    +1 :)
