    Hi all,

I am new to FChat with only a few posts so far and am considering the purchase of a CS. One question I have, is if looking for a "complete" car... what sort of items came with a CS from the factory:

    - how many manuals? is there just an owner's manual?

    - how many keys? 2 with fobs and a valet?

    - what sort of tools were provisioned?

    - in some photos in the front storage compartment I have seen what looks like a car cover, was a cover originally supplied from the factory?

Thanks again so much and if there are other tips that would be valuable to a prospective CS buyer, please share if you are so inclined!

    Very much appreciated...

The forward trunk (the boot) should contain a tire inflation kit fastened to rear bulkhead, car cover with bag, and a leather toolkit (very $ to replace) fastened to the forward-most bulkhead by a leather strap. Couldn't tell you what tools are actually in the kit though.

There should be 2 Enzo-type red keys, 2 black key fobs and 1 red master key fob (keep very safe and DO NOT LOSE).

The "Book" is a leather-bound case containing owner's manual, warranty info, alarm and radio manuals (if so equipped), lemon law compliance book for US cars, a very expensive silver Ferrari flashlight. Am I forgetting something?

You want to know if the prospective CS has a "story" or any negative issues in its history. The Ferrari dealer can retrieve a great deal of info from the ECM including clutch wear, brake wear, etc.

Make sure the stripe (if so eqipped) is oriented properly. The green is oriented closest to the passenger side/red is closest to the driver's side through the length of the car. A factory stripe will have a clear coat over it making it flush with the rest of the finish.

    Happy hunting!

    - Joe

I'll take pics of the toolkit tonight if someone doesn't post it first.

What kind of info can it give you? Does it give you like a percentage of clutch wear, brake wear? If anyones interested, could they expand on what info the ECU can provide?

With the SD/2 you can get the % of clutch wear and I believe you can also see the % or wear on the CCB's. It will also run a complete diagnostics on the cars electro/mechanical systems (F1, trans ect.)
