Remember the events we did in 2004 and 2005? It's time to start reliving that era of the Mid Atl Region. More drives, more parties, more events!

I'm assisting <removed> with the promotion of an event that he's sponsoring in April. It's to support his friend Tala in a new fashion endeavor. She is arranging a fashion show and throwing a party at Profile to celebrate their grand opening.

There will be coverage by DC Luxury, Washington Life and Verse magazines. Cristina vodka is a major sponsor and the event will be catered.

Ferrari-Maserati-Lamborghini of Washington will be bringing two cars to display.

Aston Martin of Tysons Corner will be bringing a car as well.

David and Tala are inviting the Mid Atl area exotic car owners to drive down and display our cars at the event also. There will be secure, guarded parking at a lot attached to the store specifically for us.

How does all you can eat and drink (champagne, wine, vodka) sound?

There will be models everywhere!

Also, this event is FREE…there is NO CHARGE!

Profile
2003 11th Street NW
Washington, DC 20001

Sunday, April 13, 2008 from 3pm-8pm

There will be more details to follow, including a possible group drive to the event.

As there are 500 on the guest list right now, please send RSVPs to:

David- 202-320-0007 -

Please remember to include your name and if you need a parking space for your exotic car.

Let me know if you have any questions!

Lash,

April 13th is also the Spring Thaw Event at Reston Town Center. Reston might be a good start place for a drive to DC after the Thaw event. Sounds like a full day of Ferrari, food and fun!

E60, thanks.

I've sent an email to Laura to make sure we don't conflict.

Anybody know the timing of the Spring Thaw? I don't have my latest FCA-MAR newsletter handy.

I agree though. The Spring Thaw in the AM and then a drive to Profile for the party afterwards sounds like quite a Sunday for local exotic car enthusiasts.

Thanks,
LS

This is going to be a fantastic day for all those whom want to attend the Spring Thaw event early and commence on a drive thereafter to the party hosted by Tala at Profile. As Lash stated this is a FREE event. She's requested people attending to bring their Exotic Cars for there will be photographers covering the event.

PLEASE NOTE: The afterparty continues 8pm at Mate in Georgetown.

I'm excited and look forward to catching up with everyone once again.

So far its looking really good. We have approximately 15 exotics showing up for this event . All whom have rsvp'd thank you. I will follow up with Lashdeep about perhaps doing a drive from Reston's Spring Thaw event to Profile.

DC is always pretty "iffy"

If there are good roads to use or avoid, keep me posted.

I hit a pothole in the MB the other day that would have destroyed the Fcar.

hey there Eric

I believe Lash is working on cordinating the drive and we visited the space last Friday. As far as potholes what can I say. I lived in Adams Morgan for many years and never damaged a wheel. The only time I ever damaged one of my wheels was in Arlington LOL.

We'll put together a drive that will make the best use of the endpoints and roads that are available. We will invest the same resources we put into other local drives.

Good Morning

I just received an email below from the store owner of Profile concerning the party this Sunday. As she has stated Customs in San Paolo are holding up shipment for all the goods in her store thus she's decided for safety's sake to move the Grand Opening Event to May 4th ( Sunday ) . Same times as before from 3-8pm. Additionally I advised her this maybe best in efforts to avoid conflict with the FCA Spring Thaw Event.

Hey David:

Hope all is well. I am so sorry for this delay. Unfortunately we have a huge shipment problem coming from Sao Paulo and have to delay the opening till May 4th. This shipment is 40% of the goods for the store and without it we won’t be able to open. We want to have a good representation of clothes for our store and need all the lines to be there for the grand opening as it’s a big party.

Everything is the same as far as magazines, DJs, fashion show, food and drinks and the same guest list. We are looking forward to seeing you and your crew at the opening. And if there is anything that I can help you with please let me know.

Thank you so much and am looking forward to MAY 4th for a great party

Talk to you soon

Best wishes,

Tala Raassi

I've been getting a lot of emails expressing concern over the weather since this is an outdoor event. Just wanted to inform everyone this will go on rain or shine, obviously we're counting on great weather being that its in May so we'll see.

1 week left prior to the event. Please feel free to email Lashdeep or myself if you're planning on attending. Casual attire is perfect since it's an outdoor event

I stopped by to check out the venue on Sunday. The store (Profile) is looking great...beautiful, in fact.

The parking lot immediately next to the store is quite large and should hold 15-20 cars...a good setup.

There's even enough space to fit all of Wetpet's Diablo...

Hey guys, hopefully the weather will hold up for tomorrow. The event should be excellent. I spoke with the organizers and everything is coming together nicely.

For anyone interested in a caravan down, we're going to meet at the Giant Food in Potomac, MD at 3pm tomorrow (Sunday).

Giant Food and Pharmacy
9812 Falls Rd, Potomac, MD 20854
(301) 983-4246‎

The lot directly in front of Giant gets really busy, so join us on the left side of the Giant (if you're facing it) and up the hill a bit in front of the smaller restaurants. The lot there is less congested and there is more space. We'll all head in together.

LS
