I was trying to understate (i.e., "tad") my objection to their (FoD) quite naked attack, by using mild words... And, thank you for re-stating my objections in a much more eloquent manner than did I.

FoD should really consider retaining a professional PR person --- or replacing their current one. These are the types of comments one may expect to hear uttered informally in their shop ---- "between them, their customer, and the lamp post". But, to publish such slanderous rhetoric is remarkably unprofessional. It certainly backfires against them, and only serves to undermine themselves...
