Wiring from front to cabin

Jeff, Just remove the fiberglass panel about eight screws around the spare tire, and there is a rubber gromment 1" 1/2" diameter, with wires going into the cabin.

 

I don't know how large your amp is, but if I were putting one in I'd be tempted to see if there's enough room behind the plate outlined below (i.e., passenger side foot support). Just pop off the carpet that covers this, and the plate is held on with 4 or 5 screws. It's very easy to remove, and there's a reasonable amount of dead space behind it.

I was working on my QV, thought they are the same.

 

I'd suggest using the grommeted hole between passenger compartment and the covered area ahead of the firewall.

In the exact midline of the car where the center console meets the firewall carrying the heater cables and some wiring. Mine has plenty of spare room for added wires. Don't think you need to remove the center console for access but you might need to loosen it. Best to remove the shroud in the spare tire area you will see it and push the cable through from that side.

Remember that when passing multiple cables through a small hole is pull through the ones with the largest connectors first.

Great photos. I retract what I said about using it for cables...thought there was more room inside the grommet than those pictures indicate.
That said, were I confronted with that problem, place another hole next to it and make sure to use a similiar grommet to make it look factory.

My amp and 10 disc changer are in the trunk and that's also a major pain to get all those cables through the engine firewall which must be 3/4" thick.
