    Hey Guys,
When I was talking to fellow F-chat member "Kare" a few months ago he informed me that the U.S. 308 GTB QVs were indeed quite rare, so I was just curious where the rest of you call home! Mine is an 84 GTB #49461 stamped #2 and my wife and I live on the lake in Polson Montana, 50 miles from Glacier Park (not really limited to just QVs or 308s)

    Mike Hello!
I've looked into the 308 QV register but the info is fairly outdated, alot of it was last posted in "03" at least in the GTB section anyway. "Kare" told me that he was only showing 14 of the 84 GTB QVs in the U.S. I was just wondering where they were. Kim

Kim, you could be right, an 84 GTB could be rare as I haven't know nor hear anybody that owns one except you.

I would guess that most 84 GTB's are in Europe and other foreign countries.

Some years back, I had an 85. Don't remember the vin but could look it up. QV GTB's are quite rare in the US. Everyone wanted to be Magnum. I think there are far fewer than 100 in the US and many of these are actually Euro market cars. I've also noticed over the years that many have high mileage and many have been tarted up to look like 288 GTO's. A number of others have been tracked extensively. I remember my car fondly for it's great driving manners. A number of passengers even exclaimed without prompting what a nice car it was to ride in. For a number of reasons I prefer my 328 GTB which is not as rare but is still quite rare. Anyone in the market for a QV GTB better be prepared for a long hunt!

I agree with Dave. 308 QV GTBs are wonderful cars. The difference even driving around town is very noticeable in my opinion compared to a GTS. I sold all of my GTSs and kept the GTB.

Last year I bought a 84 GTB with 47, 000 KM. I am the second owner. It is red with tan. It was imported by Peter Lavanos...former Aston Martin Chairman. It was imported in 84 to Connecticut and sold to the person I bought it from. It is 100% original and in flawlwss condition. The only parts that have been replaces were the service items and tires. The vin # is ZFFLA12S000051691.

There are tons of GTBs up in Canada. Up in Montreal for the GP this past June there was a Ferrari night on one of the streets downtown, the 328s, 348s, and 308s were all GTBs. I was amazed. Maybe they pushed the majority of the GTSs to the states?
