Hi just wondering.....how much oil does the Veyron take?
Damn...... Is it your car?? Things like that have happened before for others, and "luckily" today there are ways to fix it! Several companies can weld and repair an engine block or crankcase after damages like that! Best Carsten
No Carsten, it is not my car. The 37A is in the same shop that is breathing new life into my 16 valve engine. As you can see in the photo below I got the big ends of my original rods a bit warm when the oil pump let me down. An old rod is shown next to one of the replacements. BTW, your drawings are very special. They are as beautiful as they are remarkable. Ron Hetherington Image Unavailable, Please Login
+ I kinda fly the same way. The Veyron doesn't light my wick like some other cars. Now this Bugatti hot rod on the other hand.... regards ken Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login

Did they track those cars? If so how did the continental GT Speed in the background go? (I am almost certain thats a GT Speed but could be wrong?)
Thanks Ron, I hope you detected the problem with your oil pump before the conecting rods came out by themselves as per the 37A??? I already noticed your beautiful "late-Brescia" from your profile! A Danish friend of mine has an early 16 Valve that you'll find among my Bugatti drawings.......his car suffered an engine fire during a classic car race in Copenhagen (following a complete restoration) a couple of years back, also due to a faulty oil pump! When marshals at the event tried to put out the fire using powder extinguishers they only made the damage even worse than it already was! Then followed another two year restoration for my friend! Vive la Marque Carsten
A connecting rod has punched it's way out of the crankcase. This phrase is sometimes used to lighten the mood of a disastrous moment.
no they didnt go on track , they were part of a display in the paddock whilst the gt racing was on , F430,s , Vipers , Gallardo,s, DB9,s etc ,. in the paddock were 2 superleggera gallardos, GT40 , veyron , challenge stradale, and yes a GT speed bentley . Image Unavailable, Please Login
Gotta love those guys. I was there approximately 3 weeks ago and I have nothing but good things form them. They showed me the cars and talked about them knowing I wasn't a potential buyer...yet.
Here's some of the pics I took of the red/red Veyron at Silicon Valley Auto Group. It's one sinister Veyron, I must say. Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login
Yup, until he put a green tarp that covers the gate. Now no one can look in unless the gate is open. I was lucky to snap a pic a few weeks before the tarp went up.
Why doesn't he garage them? There's no point in not doing it. Won't it rain like hell in Florida and deteriorate the cars?
hi here a couple of pics of veyron at the races in dublin in 07 its getting off loaded from the back of the transporter before doing a lap of the track. enjoy Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login
70026586.jpg Im really not a fan of the orange sidemarkers the US DOT requires on Veyrons. It just throws the looks of the car off Image Unavailable, Please Login
