Pull pin, point hose, pull trigger. I don't find that hard or complicated and find it very difficult to believe someone could f*** that up.

Extinguishing fire extinguishers is yet another postmodern example of putting the moron in oxymoron

There is some truth in untrained being dangerous. A house burned down a few blocks from here yesterday, and the homeowner was injured from trying to use a garden hose. He was listed as 'serious' due to smoke inhalation.

That's too bad... smoke inhalation is no fun, at all.

When will garden hoses be banned?

Summer, or what passes as summer in the UK, will normally result in a hose pipe ban.

    Why not just outlaw fire?

That seems to be the mentality with gun control.

Why not just expect more out of people? What's wrong with a fire safety class as part of the school curriculum?
With fire safety, even small kids get it if you EXPECT it of them.

Why don't they go all the way with their logic and just say that, due to the likelihood of seeing firefighting equipment at the scene of a fire, they have determined that there is a correlation and have, thus, banned all firefighting equipment to help lower the possibility of a fire breaking out.
