A quick Google finds this is part of a political stunt...flooding forums with a bumper sticker IDs. Note the nature of the question verifies it.

Will they ever learn that such negative behavior does more harm than good.

I own 1978 308 and have owned a 348 and a 360 Modena. The 308 has been wonderful with very little problems. The car is 30 years old, I just had a Tubi put on at 78308 (can you believe this number) miles. Aside from electrical, windows working slowly and rusting now with a litle heating problem, I would do it all over.

?? I find it interesting that questions concerning a specific model of Ferrari verify anything other than an interest in having a few questions answered by experts (or at the very least people with previous experience and/or back ground knowledge of the specific model in question). Meh. your tin foil hat is broken.

Did you have something to add to this discussion Paul? By your screen name I would jump to the assumption that you are one of those on this forum with knowledge of and experience with the 308. Of course, I could be wrong too. It has happened before.

The K-Jetronic FI is about as trouble free as any fuel delivery system can be. Up until late 2005 when I bought my Touareg, the ONLY cars I ever drove - EVER were a 1980 Scirocco (bought in 1985) a 1987 Scirocco 16V (bought in 1998), an 82 Alfa Spider (bought in 1996, L-jetronic but close enough to make my point) and my 308 QV (bought in 1997).

I have over 300,000 combined miles in 23 years on the Bosche K system. I have never had to make a single repair to any of them at any time.

It sucks as a performance platform to build on but if you want your car to start and go, it is hard to beat.

You are WAY out of line my friend, and rapidly beginning to show all the earmarks of a troll. Ive been on this forum over four years and in all my posts I have never been as condecending as you have become in your first seven posts.

In the upper left hand corner you will notice a link to "search". I would suggest you begin using it before asking any further ignorant or "loaded" questions. If you came here out of any real interest in Ferrari, which I doubt, you will last around here a while. But to start off with a screen name that is divisive does not signal anyone of any real taste. Perhaps you could have it "altered" by the moderators. I dont see anyone with screen names like Bush4prez, McCain4prez, Hitlary4prez, etc, so to me its in bad taste. Which in your case is exactly what I believe you were looking to convey.

As to your questions regarding Paul 308, if you were conciencious and concerned enough not to start off insulting people, that search function above could have easily shown you his background.

i am very pleased to be permitted the opportunity to participate in this forum. without it,or something like it,
it's doubtful my ferrari experiences to date would be so meaningful. to attack someone without knowing them
personally is a cheap and rather cowardly way of obviating their feelings.

My 1981 GTSi uses the BOSCH K-Jetronic system. Very reliable and easy to work on once you understand how it works. Some say it will produce less power than a carb car but I am not so sure that that is the case. The system can be tuned to produce more power but not really recommended as this will cause other problems in the system.

I have driven only one Ferrari 308 with carbs. I really have not noticed any difference between the two other than the sound a carb car makes. You can hear the air being sucked into the system which sounds cool, but other that that I did not notice any real power difference. To me, it’s kind of like the difference between Digital and HD T.V or the difference between stereos. Only a real expert will notice the subtle difference between these cars. As a normal everyday Joe, who happens to own a Ferrari, the mere experience of driving the car is all I need. I do not care if it is 1 sec slower than a 328 in a ¼ mile. How is that relevant?

The Jetronic system is simple to work on and troubleshoot once you understand how it works. Its all about fuel pressure. There are some really good books out there about the Jetronic system and parts are still available. BOSCH still has service manuals. Over the years, there has been many improvements on the system but overall there all the same.

If you drove a 78-79 US carb car, there IS no difference between one of those and an 80-82 inj 308....

You need to go back to 77 and get a euro glass. Those are a bit more perky
