    Been searching high and low for this and just haven't been able to come up with anything. I'm looking for a breakdown of how many Ferrari 308 GTS were made BY COLOR. As in 300 Blu Serra and 2000 Rosso Corsa, etc. How in the world would you go about getting this information. Or even part of it?

    I've never seen a break down of production based on color. I would imagine the only people that have access to the production information would be Ferrari's archives department or the classiche department. In addition, I'm not sure they would give you information pertaining to anything other than your own specific vehicle. Just getting information about my own vehicle required sending proof of ownership, pictures and paying a fee.

    Try contacting Ferrari North America's Classiche Departmen in Englewood Cliffs, NJ. Their contact person is Lucy Petrone.

    1) Tons of Rosso (red)

    2) Lots of Yellow

    3) Some Black, Blue, and Silver ones

    4) A Few Green, White, orange, and Brown

    5) And a Very Few Boxer type:D

    I have been writing with Lucy. She didn't have the original color of my car, nor any other information about it. But she gave me the following information about overall production of 308s.

    Dear Mr. Fox,

    Below are some facts I dug up. There are dozens of websites dedicated to
    Ferrari and specificly the 308.
    Cavallino magazine is also a great source of information.

    308 GTB (Steel) 1977-1980 2185
    308 GTS 1977-1980 3219
    308 GTBi 1981-1982 494
    308 GTSi 1981-1982 1749
    308 GTB QV 1982-1985 748
    308 GTS QV 1982-1985 3042
    Total 1975-1985 12,149

    I got some specific production information from Ferrari on my 1979 308 GTB through the Ferrari Owners website using the e-mail link. This was about 5 years ago when the site was new (I think, my user number is 34). They may be less likely to answer questions now. It is worth a shot. They will know the answer though. I would keep the question specific, like "How many 1979 308 GTSs were bulit in color XYZ". You will have a better chance of getting a response.
