    congrats on the first job.

    My first (asside from babysitting before i could legally work) was at a local farm selling apples. It was only weekends through the fall till XMAS and now 9 years later i still work there as a manager. (yes i do other work aswell year round, but for 4-5 months, i work 7days a week)

    Wow, I didn't think fuel was that cheap in '75 but it's always been quite a bit cheaper than in Canada I believe. Were you restricted from selling the fuel by the government? I assume if you have the go ahead to install pumps and are already in retail sales, the jump to selling the fuel would be easy.

    My first job was a grocery store bagger at a major chain. Started a few months after my 16th birthday and was there for 22 months. I quit one month ago. I learned that grocery is not the industry for me.

    I am now a host at a nice restaurant on the beach. I make what equals to ~10-11 an hour with tips, and I get a discount any time I eat there when not on the clock, as well as a free meal every shift.

    Starting last week, I also started interning at a real estate company (one of my mom's friends, one of my inspirations.)
