Its not the best looking car but it seems closer to the 246 lines than the current F149. But you're right, it does look a bit like a Porsche! :D

You know you know..... the new Cayman actually reminds me of the original Dino. :) I don't care much for Porsche styling, but the Carerra GT and the Cayman S I like.

Not a very elegant re-interpretation. The curves on the original have much better proportions.

I'm tired of TALL sports cars. Sports cars are supposed to be low-slung, like racing cars. :)

Partly the reason why I like the 308's! :D

Exactly. I saw a Boxer (365!) yesterday on the road and the proportions made all the modern cars around it look stupidly tall.

Me too, the Cayman S more than the CGT in fact...but this car is off the mark of a 246. Too high, and that front end is just plain clumsy. From all the prototypes and drawings, it appears it took a while to get the original Dino so right as well.

I attended a reception at the RUF dealer when Alfredo Stola was in town to show off his custom RUF Cayman. I told him that I kind of thought that it looked even more Dino-like than the factory Cayman (it has a flat recessed rear window rather than the flush one).

He did not seem to be offended, but he told me that the real source of inspiration was the Porsche 904, which he thought was a better looking car even than the Dino. And his design studio is StudioTorino, so he can hardly be anti-Italian...maybe this studio would be a better designer for a true Dino replacement?

This car was designed by an FChat member. I think it looks great.

these aren't new photo's. the car was discussed during the design process on f-chat by a dino owner (i believe).

i don't like the quarter windows, but think the rest of the car looks nice. it can't be compared with a dino, but you can see the inspiration

i would love to see a car like this go down the road. i am embarressed to admit that the new pontaic solstice and saturn ??? look nice going down the road. this car beats them hands down
