Bentley FS in Coquitlam -> http://img223.imageshack.us/img223/6995/2503081442ba9.jpg
My bad, it was a model "T". I saw it again by the Old Spaghetti Factory (8th and Columbia) and spoke to the owner. Nice old fella that had a few interesting stories about his Ford.
Yeah - it was a good day today, what's with this snow stuff? Anybody found an AirCare test centre that actually knows how to drive a car? After watching my car sliding sideways towards the wall in reverse (and accelerating!) while on the rollers, and either idling or over-revving while failling to match much of the speed graph - argghhh. Somehow it passed despite all that. The guys in Coquitlam a few years ago didn't have a clue (mirror under the drivers seat looking for catalytic converters), I tried Burnaby off Boundary today but would say it was worse. maybe further West?
maybe that's why it was so quiet? There were only a few cars there. This was on Charles just West of Boundary.
According to http://www.aircare.ca/: "Station Closures: As of January 1st, 2007, the Burnaby and South Surrey AirCare inpection centres were closed. The closest alternate stations to Burnaby are East Vancouver, South Vancouver and Coquitlam. The closest alternate stations to South Surrey are Langley and North Surrey. Regular Hours of Operation: Inspection centres are open Monday to Saturday, from 8:30 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. For more information phone: 604-930-5633 In Chilliwack, Rosedale, Sardis, Agassiz and Harrison call: 604-795-4546 In Mission and Abbotsford call: 604-820-2226" Last time I had my vehicles "Aircared", I went here: "11115 Silversmith Place: From Steveston Highway, turn south onto Shell Road. Turn left at Hammersmith Gate, then turn left onto Hammersmith Way, then left again onto Silversmith Place." Image Unavailable, Please Login
ahh, I see: I was one block West of Boundary, so on the East Vancouver side of Boundary. my mistake. Guess I'll be trying Richmond next time, if it's still open. Don't think the Richmond RCMP have the same front-plate quota as the VPD guys. Thanks.
YES! e-brake fixed, AirCare passed. and what the heck is up with this snow - was just a little stressed driving up the hill today in a snow storm with cars coming down with an inch or two of snow on 'em! thankfully not the block we're on. It was clear and sunny when I left a few hours earlier.
Any leads on a local, fairly priced, decent conditioned early TR for sale in BC? Thanks guys!! EDIT: Recent major service is a plus but not really essential! Thanks again!
sometimes its nice to buy a car that needs a major service, then you have peace of mind when you have it done yourself, keep that in mind
You wouldn't find any station out on this side of the bridge that's any better, as a similar thing happened to me here in Langley when I took my 308 in for the first time. She Looked under the front of the car for the cats . Although, she didn't slide the car sideways, but she didn't happen to lock the seat forward properly (she was quite short, so needed to move the seat forward. I told and showed her how to move the seat) and while driving on the rollers, all of a sudden I see her fly completely back! Overall, it was a nerve-racking experience. Thank God I got Collector's plates shortly afterwards... And I don't ever have to deal with them again with my regular car as it's too new and exempt!
And you didn't fail for removing the cats from the front of your 308? shocking! We're just on the wrong side of the tracks Peter
Anyone go to the auto show yet? Theres a Black SLR, Bentley GT Speed, G-spyder, a bunch of others and a R8 which was getting man handled by almost everyone.
Also a 599 was there to, crashed. -- Orange Superleggera out side science world today. not my pictures btw. Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login
Was at the auto show yesterday and talked to the sales guy for Lamborghini Vancouver. He told me that the only Lamborghini Reventon for Canada was sold to a guy in Vancouver. It is suppose to arrive in June. It was sold for 1.53 Million Canadian. Hopefully one of us will be able to spot it at the dealer when it arrives, but I doubt we will ever see it on the road. Also, he told me that Lamborghini is going to be coming out with an SV model of the Murci late '08 or early '09. Watch for that!
