Folks, I'm getting married in a few weeks, and we're planning on using Ferrari car names for the table names at the reception. So we need 9 or 10 good sounding names of Ferrari models. I've started with the obvious ones: Daytona Dino Enzo Testarossa but now I've kind of hit a bit of a wall without going into letter/number combos. Any suggestions for the remaining 5? thanks Dan
After a bit more research I've got the following: Mondial Superamerica Scaglietti Fiorano Berlinetta Maranello Lusso Superfast But which ones sound best?
I like Maranello, Scuderia, Testarossa, Daytona, Scaglietti, Fiorano, Modena, Monza, Pininfarina, Stradale, Rossa Corsa, and Enzo.
I think you try some of these... 250GT 250GTS 250GTO 275GTB 275GTS 365GTS 365GTC 365GTBLWB 365GTBSWB 365GT 2+2 365GTC4 308GT4 308... And see if anyone can find their correct table!
No offense, but unless each and every one of your guests either own/know/love/ and or are tifosi/etc.....Ferrari...whats the point? I'm curently working w/ a Country Club to promote it's "gala" event, and each division of the tourney is assigned a golf/historical-golf/golf meca name.....and as such is relevant to the people who know/love/play/understand golf and/or golf history..... I don't mean to rain on your parade, but unless each and every guest understands/knows/has some knowledge about terms like Scaglietti, Enzo, Schumi, Barchettta, Omologato, Rampante, Cavallino, Quatro Valve, Tifsoi..... etc........... it's not really relevant to your event. FWIW, a wedding ceremony/event is about the families, the bride/groom and the future.... cars, ,money, or anything else materially related to the event is insignificant....IMO Good Luck, but IMO "theme" weddings are lame. Congrats on your committment!
No offence taken. One of the reasons I wanted people's opinions was to identify which names sound best even to the uninitiated. e.g. I think Fiorano is a good one, but Enzo isn't. Nothing to do with the car/place/man, just sounds nicer as a table name. Some people at the wedding will get it, and those that don't will not be inconvenienced or bothered in any way. As you say, it is quite insiginificant but a bit of fun nonetheless.
Re: superleggera Definitely used by Ferrari first. http://ferrarichat.com/forum/showpost.php?p=135927196&postcount=1 BTW, thats one of my favorite Ferrari pics, used it as a background for ~ a year.
