Have I missed something (very possible) or did our local autosport representatives Ron and Carol not report this: Autosport made a prediction for the duel's of the 2008 season and favored Kimi vs Massa as 100:0. 100 to zero! Whoa! Says it all. A few more: Kubica - Heidfeld 68:32 Alonso - Piquet 94:6 Hami - Kovi 87:13
I'm not sure I am jumping on the Kubica bandwagon just yet. I think he's catching up with Heidfeld, but I'm not sure he is that much faster. I will say that if Heidfeld doesn't score more points than RK this year, I think Vettel gets his seat. The day Carol and Ron admit that Massa is a second-rate driver compared to Raikkonen will be the day, won't it.
I mean they gave rookie Piquet more chances against the double WDC Alonso than Massa. Pretty brutal. Coincidence that this is the third autosport article unflattering to Massa that went by Ron's detective eye unspotted? At the rate this is going, I'm seriously considering an autosport subscription. With this kind of reporting I might actually trust them.
Kubica has shown his stuff last year and is a top driver. This years grid is pretty neat in its talent throughout the field in the top 5 teams. Besides after Canada last year looks like there are Angels in his fan club.
They give Massa no chance at all, thats pretty rough. At the way he's going though they should have the odds of who will score more points Massa or his replacement.
lol, You guys are brutal. I think someone will, if it has not already happened, talk to Massa, tell him to drive within his limits and accept the #2 position.
I'm not even going to touch the Massa stuff here. But 87 : 13 Hami over Kovi? Someone expecting team orders at McLaren? Does not compute. Kubi / Nick I'd call closer. Age and experience plus youth and enthusiasm -- BMW has a pretty solid driver team there. I'd call most of those numbers just a bit inflated.
Yeah, in everything but Alonso/Piquet. That should be another 100/0. C'mon. Andreas, I love finding the real informative articles on Autosport, they are often pro-Kimi when it comes to Ferrari, and it is always unreported by Ron/Carol. Instead, we get "Ferrari Issue Statement Trying To Save Face For Tired Poor #2 Driver".
Right or wrong this is just silly. Given kimi's "luck", or being less kind, perhaps he is hard on the machinery, I don't see how anyone could favor kimi over massa more than 67:33... all Kimi has to do is not finish a couple races where massa is P1 or P2 and it is essentially game over Kimi
+1 I think that Autosport conducted a poll of its reporters, there are probably a few harboring anti-Alonso sentiment hence the vote. I think it makes no sense either. My guess is that Piquet Jr. is out of F1 by next season, he has shown me nothing thus far.
