Actually, I dumped the D2x for the D300 and I am very happy that I did.. The D300 while not a "professional" camera, its has a superior sensor and the quality of my images has certainly improved.. ie it made me a better photographer...LOL

The set up for this was as follow.

    Nikon D300 body/MD-10 with AF-S NIKKOR 24-70 f/2.8G ED for most shots.

Two SB-800 Flash units controlled wirelessly from the D300 and the popup flash in a commander mode.

    For most wide angle shots.
    AF-S NIKKOR 14-24mm f/2.8G ED

And a circular polarizer for some of the photos..

Post production was Photoshop CS3 for resize, sharpen and add logo.. and iPhoto for the slideshow..

Uh, that is a pro-level camera. Even if it is a DX sensor and not a FX, Nikon considers it a pro camera. And it isn't the camera that made those pictures good, it was your setup. How do you like the Nikkor 14-24? I've been thinking about getting that one.

The 14-24 is a heavy piece of glass but worth the extra weight and money. Its pretty sharp throughout and distortion is minimal at the wide angle.

sorry about the Pcar..but to illustrate.. I took these at Rolex 24hrs at Daytona using the 14-24..

Todd (tropical detail) detailed the car. Never looked better. Ed's pictures are utterly amazing.
