Pass. side heat temp control & window help 328

Was in my 86 328 today when after both were working normally 1st the passenger side heat temp control is pinned on max (which I put there 30' prior) and won't come down at all; then a bit later, with the heat control stuck on max (not the fan, just the console-located temp control), the pass window stops responding to either the driver or passenger control. I wonder if the two could be related since the issues are with the passenger side only. Onset was not concurrent fwiw. Both occured during course of normal driving and operation - no monkeying under hoods, fuse boxes, battery removal, etc.

Any insight?
