Yeah Im wondering the same thing.

Or is Ferrari just going to look at both cars as equal but two different sides of the same coin..both V8 ..one mid...one front engined.

I would prefer if Ferrari had priced it at $200k ..left the 430 succesor at $300k...the 599 at $400k..etc... thats a good model range in my eyes.

The silliest part is being a competitor to the DB9... I dont see many buyers cross shopping these. The DB9 will go to the cruiser crowd..the F149 to the sports car crowd.

Funny but no one seems to mention anything about the BMW 1 series. Its basically (looks like IMO) a better built Mazda3 but the asian market sure gobbles them up! Didn't hurt the BMW brand as well.

And I know this Factory is headed for a slump, out of lineage, out of class,Fiat is always broke, ford wops, and they are outta site on $ spent on F1. Look for toyotata to dominate and the Factory to go the way of Bear Stearns.read history.

they are catering to human nature and the desire to impress others

    boxter
    h2,h3....

If I had a penny for every time an H2 or H3 owner name dropped Hummer, or a boxter owner said "my porsche," etc.

Don't get me started on the Bentley GT, or the new aston

A $100k ferrari is a joke to me, now everyone and their mother is gonna have a ferrari and name drop it everywhere

I think we have updated information now that the F149 will be slotted above the F430 pricewise. Anyway, we already have a $100K Ferrari. It's called the 360 Modena.

I've seen the "break" mule last October in Maranello ... and I found it very nice (... sorry ! :D ).
And I don't know why, but I'm sure (hum, better to say I think) the new F will have something of a "shooting break" ...

my dealer told me today when i say first my new 599 in the showroom the price will be 200`00 - 220`000 sFR( SFR its now parity to Dollar) for the 149
it will have a folding roof and 440-460 HP, the dealers will get more infomation in the next 2 weeks
its more a MB AMG SL rival, and the strategy from Ferrari is to pick up new customer with other habits or needs
I think a lot of people mix up infos between F149 and the 430 successor.

The F149 is for the Asian market. Those guys will buy them all whithin the next few years, and that's how you get to 10000 cars a year. Luca is not stupid, we care about the cars...he cares about the bottom line...remember when he said no more than 4000 cars a year...funny how things change

??? You are completely wrong IMO. F149 is for any market where AMG SL's sell well. I think MB moves a few in the US...

What do you mean "try to pimp them"??? The 360 is still a great car... what do you drive?
